TV Channel out of sync

Hi I have basic cable and channel 23 aka CBC News has been out of sync for a couple days now. The video and audio do not correspond to one another at all. Please help me fix this!

Are you using any DTA or digital box at all? or is this stright from the wall into your tv?

Yes I am using it through a digital box.

Audio and video sync issues are usually source or Headend issue. Without going into detail on how it happens, the problem cannot be fixed at the TV. You need to call in and speak to someone who will escalate the issue to the right group.

When you say out if sync, do you mean that the audio doesn't sync with the lips? Or do you mean that the audio does not make any sense with what you are watching? If that is the case, you may have SAP turned on by mistake.

One day the audio matched with the video but it just wasn't matching with the lips. Then another day it was a completely different audio for the video.

Have you tried rebooting the box?

I did have that the other day, actualy on ALL channels.
A reboot promptly fixed it.

When in doubt, think of them like your PC.

 

Reboot first, then move on to other troubleshooting Smiley Happy
