I have noticed on a lot of shows the left side or right side of the screen is cut off. I have noticed this on all my boxes and TV why is this happening. Please don't say check out the zoom button as that is no the problem.

Had the same issue. TV listing channel didn't fit either did channels with scoreboards or tickers.. I tried every setting on the TV. Didn't realize the PVR box had a zoom function aswell. (On the remote bottom right light grey button).
Fixed my issue completely. TV set to Auto and box set to Stretch 1080i
Cheers and thanks.

3 are HD Boxes and 1 isn't and some of the TVs have zoom but it's not set.
All TV's are HD. I don't think I have overscan on any of them.
I tried to even take the TV of 16:9 and put them to 4:3 tv size and still see stuf getting cutt off.

I've noticed the same thing when I zoom 16:9 shows on standard def channels. Ever since the "big upgrade" none of my boxes zoom correctly, It's like it is too big and not centred. Any one else notice?

I get this sometimes when switching from an non-HD station to a HD station.
1. If I flip to another HD station and back, it is OK
2. you can also play with the Zoom (#) button on the remote to set the xoom correctly

I have had this problem for the past two days. Some channels that previously fit the screen no longer do. Some respond to using the stretch aspect (picture is slightly distorted) and others still don't fit even when switched to strech. As I said this has only become a recent problem.
