Have you rebooted the box?

Could be the box having issues responding.

Hello @lom,

 

I would try what @Gdkitty has suggested first to reboot the box. Also check to see if there isn't anything blocking the IR sensors. It may also have gone defective over continuous use over the years which can happen as well. Not to worry though, if rebooting the box doesn't help, you can try exchanging the remote at retail and see if another remote resolves the issue.

Thanks for your response. Rebooting worked for now. If it happens again, I will take the remote to the Rogers store.

I changed TV ECO mode to off and then the remote worked perfectly. Hope this works for every one.
