My mother got the NB2 a year ago for free, as an incentive to get rid of the little
digital - analog box.
Over this time there where issues of the OS speed, but have been resonably
taken care with software updates and various resets through Rogers website.
One problem, however, persists.
Sound (volume) levels are inconsistent from channel to channel.
Eg.: 02 TVO is way to low. Tv volume must be turned up to 39 to hear any thing.
Then other channels are too loud.
Why doesn't Rogers compensate for this? And if the low volume problem originates
at TVO, why are they not told to adjust their levels?
Thanks for any answers.
Good evening @telios,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for your post.
Inconsistent audio issues are definitely inconvenient. Is this issue happening on more than one channel? I wasn't able to replicate the issue on channel 2 on my end. I see you've mentioned speaking to tech support about other issues pertaining to the box, have you ever had any troubleshooting completed for this specific issue?
Any one else in the Community experiencing something similar?
Happened a couple of days ago. All of a sudden the audio volume for CTV (channel 😎 dropped. Everything else seems fine.
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums and Congrats on your very first post!
Trying to enjoy your favourite programs without any audio is no easy task! If you have more than 1 TV can you confirm if it is happening on all of the TVs in your home? Did it resolve itself once that specific program was completed or is it ongoing even now?
Any additional information you can provide us will help diagnose what is causing this issue.
It seems like it’s only affecting one tv. Other TVs in the house are working normally.
It’s a ongoing issue with CTV only, channel 8 and 108. I don’t have time shifting, so not sure about CTV at other zones.
Looks like the audio problem is solved.
I didn’t do anything, so whoever that fixed the issue, thanks!
Perhaps you have a borderline signal issue. Check out the following post regarding signal. Call Rogers and have them check the signal at your home/box and in your neighbourhood. They can do this remotely. You can also check the signal yourself per the link in that post:
