Re: Free Previews

Hi Maude... seems your posted Free Preview link had characters attached (http://www.rogers.com/freepreview!%C2%A0), causing the link to fail and route to the consumer home page.

I cleaned it up to http://www.rogers.com/freepreview and found the info, thanks!!

Re: Free Previews

Lots of channels on Free Preview this month. Including the annual Hollywood Suite channels, including the On-demand channel.

Some of the previews have ended. You need to check each channel that you're interested in.

Re: Free Previews

I appreciate for previews but. Why would I subscribe to a channel that shows the same series over and over again. Example canada over the edge on Smithsonian channel. All day long.
Cottage life television has the same old cottage life programs over and over again.

Re: Free Previews

Hi myra1,

Rogers has nothing to do with what the individual stations broadcast. If you have a problem with Smithsonian channel showing Canada over the edge all day long, reach out to the Smithsonian channel directly and express your opinion with them.

This channel exists on other cable companies too not just Rogers so its the actual channel which controls what programming is to be aired. not rogers, not bell, not telus, not cogeco, not video tron.

Re: Free Previews

The Free Preview channels page on the website is not showing anything. I've tried three different browsers and disabled all my addons and it's still not showing anything. This used to work, what happened?

Re: Free Previews

Working fine for me.  I'm using Chrome on a Mac Mini.   Here are some additional tips regarding clean browsers, incognito mode as a test, pop-up blockers, enable JavaScript, etc.

I also tried Firefox and Safari and both of those worked for me.

PS.  It looks like quite a few are ending tomorrow on June 29th.  Perhaps Rogers will need to update the listings...

Re: Free Previews

I got it to work. It's my VPN. If I disable it then the page loads OK. It's still odd though that this is the only page it happens on. I've been using the same VPN for a few years now and never had this problem before and I don't like disabling it.

Edit: Upon further experimenting I found that the culprit is PIA Mace, a tracking blocker in the Private Internet Access VPN Privacy settings. It turns out, I don't have to disable my VPN. I just have to disable PIA Mace. Anybody else that uses PIA VPN and having the same problem, that should fix it for you.
