Can you Still use Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3100 PVR

I have an old one of these and my daughter just got Rogers Cable in her apartment so I was wondering if I could give this to her to use? Is it still compatible with Rogers Cable

Been a while.. cant remember if these are usable or not.
I know quite a while back, they did a bit of a purge and stopped allowing the oldest boxes.. a lot of the PACE ones, and some of the SA ones.

Best bet would be to call rogers direct and see if they are able to or not.

Here's a link to a 5+ year old post on the topic:

You'll need to call Rogers anyway (see post 1 of the link above with the checklist), so give them a call and check.  I would suspect it's no longer active since the newer 3250HD was not 5+ years ago.  The 3100 is not a PVR.
