Have been having this issue for the past few days - whenever I try to watch something, everything goes black for a second and it happens almost every 10-20 seconds. Makes it hard to watch - have tried resetting the modem and unplugging and unplugging the cable box back in. Any suggestions?
It’s really not an enjoyable experience when your picture is cutting in and out like that while you’re trying to watch TV. Thanks for trying to reboot everything already!
Is your TV hooked up to your digital box using an HDMI cable? If so, can you try unplugging it from both the TV and your digital box for 10 seconds? If that doesn’t clear the issue, can you try another HDMI cable and then even another input source on your TV, please?
@KerriW : Is this on live TV or a recording? Most of these black screen issues are related to signal problems at your home or in your neighbourhood. Call Rogers and have them check your signal at home/neighbourhood. See the following post for additional information on the topic:
