Nope.  and they still charged me for the box rental too.

Make sure you call and demand credit for this month and even extra credit for the ongoing issue...

Its sad that company like Rogers cant force cisco to fix this issue in timely manner

Re: 4K tv not working

So today Rogers tech was at my house looking at Gigabit internet speed issue.

I also asked him to take a look at my 4K box issue.

He ended up "zapping" the box very fast as he called it and also remove the booster that was in my line and guess what!!!

The box is working....

For those that are still having issue, ask for tech to come to your place and replace your box with new one (Without the latest firmware) and have them keep zapping (I have no idea what that is 🙂 the box with their signal untill starts to work.

Hello @seadooxp30

That would make no sense as Bell has theirs out for a while now. So Rogers making us wait for the PVR better have a explanation behind it. Lol

Ditto

Just had one installed today ,have exactly the same situation.

And I think once they get it working all I will get in 4K is sports

no other programing but maybe there will be more content

eventually.

Hello @smitty33

Its up to ech broadcaster and channel owner to switch all their cameras and feeds to 4K. Most will take their time to do it.

Re: 4K tv not working

This company ROGERS is such a joke I have just spent the last hour reading

about all the problems they are having with the 4K box it sounds to me like

no one has been able to make this box work, WHY on earth does Rogers

put a product like this on the market when it is obviusly not ready to

work but I am quite sure that they will keep on charging there 14.95

rental every month weather it works or not .And if and when they get this

thing working we are going to get 4 channels in 4K and they are all sports

WHY would anyone who is not a sports addict in there right mind

ever order this 4K thing.

Hello @smitty33

I guess you didn't read seadooxp30 post which seems to work and make it work?.

I do agree that it's taking them long to fix this issue. It shouldn't have happened in the first place. You have to also understand that the sports channels are owed by Rogers and Bell which broadcast that into 4K. The other channel owners and broadcasters have to change over all their systems to adapt 4K and then more will come out. That's not Rogers fault if u think about it.

Good question.  But most sports don't even need really high definition except those involving precision equipment, like motorsports, for example. The answer is that there are a lot of people who want to be on the bleeding edge of technology and just have to have the latest toys. But it's their money. Personally, I wouldn't get a 4K box until the majority of programming was in 4K.
