Rogers remote not working?
When the remote control for your Digital set-top box does not control any of the functions of the Digital set-top box (on/off, volume, channels, etc.).
Remote hardware issue
Press the [CBL] button at the top of the remote.
Ensure that there is no obstruction between the remote and the digital set top box.
Ensure that the lights at the top of the remote control flash when a button is pressed. If not, replace the batteries.
Try changing channels or increasing/decreasing volume from the front panel of the digital set top box. If this works, attempt to use the remote control again.
If your problem continues, try reprogramming your Rogers remote.
To program the 5 button Rogers remote to control the volume on your TV:
Press and hold [SETUP] until one of the mode buttons flashes twice and then release the [SETUP] button.
Enter 9 9 3.
Press and release the mode (AUX, DVD, TV, or CBL) button for the device that you want your Rogers remote to control the volume for.
To program the 3 or 4 button Rogers remote to control the volume on your TV:
Cover the infrared portion on the front of the remote with your hand.
Press and hold and the [CBL] button and the [SELECT] button until the mode buttons or LED blink twice.
While covering the front of the remote, press 9 9 3. The [CBL] button or LED will blink twice when the process is complete.
Now press the [TV] button. The [CBL] button or LED will blink twice to confirm a valid selection.
Uncover the front of the remote and point it towards your TV. Check that your changes were accepted by testing the volume controls on the remote.
If you see the digital set top box volume bar instead of your TV volume bar, your changes were not successful. Repeat these instructions.
