Thanks for your response again. I completely agree with you; However it is ridiculous from the rep to provide inaccurate information. This is an example of how they are not transparent with their customers. I can name numerous scenarios where I got disappointed in many ways.

yes. I install the hardware and made holes in my house thinking that I could use the camera and control my self once the contract is ended, but it does not work with any other devices , so I think rogers should take responsible for this and provide the compensation since i have to replace with other DYI own camera and have to pay to fill all the holes. Or give new way for us to control the camera with the diff hub.

@rathannet
That is different that what the person was asking.
They wanted to continue the rogers monitoring service.
With a different internet provider.
You are talking about using the devices separately, from it connecting to the smarthome panel.
(if you cancel service).
All of the other sensors can be easily re-purposed, as they use zigbee communication method.. would just need to get another zigbee 'hub' type of device.
The cameras.. though I am not sure. In basic, they seem to set up much like other Swann, etc cameras that I have set up before.. But it quite possible that they have proprietary firmware on them, which makes them not able to communicate otherwise.
(I only have one camera and its on my system, so i have no way of testing to see if anything can be done externally)

Hi, thanks for the reply. Please bring this issue to the higher priority level, before losing the Mac owning customers; it's crucial matter. As I mentioned above, it's not working on any Mac browsing platform.
Thank you,
Ronald

Hello @ronaldanton,
I know how popular Mac devices are, so we definitely do not want to lose our Mac customers due to this issue.
Were you able to test this out in Firefox using In Private Browsing or in Google Chrome via Incognito mode to see if there is any improvement? We have escalated this matter for further investigation to our Network Specialists. We will report back once we have an update or a possible solution to this issue.
We appreciate all of your patience regarding this matter.

Thermostat not kicking in cooling
Hello Experts,
I got the SHM in Jan and this is the first time i am using it in Summer. I tried to set the thermostat to cooling and since morning the AC unit is not kicked on by the theromostat. I checked power to AC and it seems everything is in order. Anyone know how this can be sorted out?

Hopefully it was installed correctly?
If my memory serves me right, there is a separate wire for the air conditioner which runs to where the thermostat is set up.. and needs to be connected to control it.
Beyond that.. I would go and flip the breaker. Turn it off for a few mins, then back on.
One thing I noticed with mine, especially it seems the first time... is it doesnt seem to trigger right away.
I sort of need to force it.
where as its 1deg too hot, it SHOULD start up? didnt... so what I did was make it try to have a bigger variance. Drop the temp you want to make it to VERY low (cold) so there is a much larger difference between the temp and what it should be. See if it triggers it.

Hello @ronaldanton & @gsrsecure,
@gsrsecure, Thank you for your post and welcome to the Rogers Community Forums! With the weather getting warmer so quickly I can understand how important it is to ensure your AC unit is working properly with your Smart Home System. Since you were installed in the Winter months it's difficult to test out the AC unit. If the thermostat is still not controlling the AC unit we'll need to have a technician sent out to investigate.
@ronaldanton, We'd like like to forward your specific case information over to our back-end teams to investigate this matter further. We can do this by escalating a Ticket on your file so you will receive a notification once there is an update and when the matter is reported as resolved.
Please send us a Private Message to @CommunityHelps and we can have both of these issues addressed. Please Click Here if you are unfamiliar with our Private Messaging system.

Camera video streaming failed on android app
Just had monitoring cameras installed.
While day I keep on getting Camera video stream failed.
Why is remote view not working while touch tablet is fine for display at home.
Is there any issue in using android with home monitoring app to view cameras.
