1. If you do a web search for that number you will see that it is not related to Rogers and comes up as a possible scam.
2. Any number, including real Rogers numbers can be spoofed, so your question has no relevance.

I received the same number last thursday . On display it was "Rogers" so i decided to pickup . It was some one with heavy accent trying to sell me cell phone's or cell phone plans for 40$ or something like that . Than asked if i'm happy with my internet speed . Said he was Rogers Ambassador . Knew my name . That's my experience from last thursday.

I responded with "no" to everything and that i am happy with what i have . i lied that one day i might be interested with the offers . Kept my cool, listened to the "offers" and that's all .Nothing disgruntled .
If a knew it's a scam i would not pickup.

Who are Rogers ambassadors anyway...?
1. According to the following thread, the team was disbanded over a year ago and the phone number was different. There are various references and suggestions in the thread link below
2. My suggestion would be to contact Rogers via the usual number, or PM the mods on this forum.
3. Usually the team would contact you after you discontinued a service or left Rogers.
4. Many of the scammers can sound legit, so it is always good to be wary and not give out any information, per the suggestions in this and the other thread.
5. If this were a legit number, I would expect different results when doing a web search. Right now, all I get are links to this or similar threads asking about legitimacy or a lot of links regarding scammers using 1-833.
6. If an offer sounds to good to be true, it probably is. There are many recent legitimate published cellphone offers on the web.
