Xfinity PVR did not record scheduled program

Last night I set my PVR to record the Tony Awards, but when I checked the Recordings list later on, it wasn't there. I had selected it through the on-screen Guide before the show had started. I use this feature all the time and never have any problems. Any idea why it didn't work?

Assuming you had enough space and the title of it did not change, perhaps it's listed in Your deleted recordings section, or available via the Ignite TV App, or website. If so, try synching DVR to get it to appear on your set-top box.

You can also try the obvious reboot, or the bit longer system reboot from the settings menu.

I did check the deleted recordings, and I've only used 3% of my available space. I don't understand what you mean about synching the DVR. Could you please clarify?

I assume something may have gone wrong with the actual DVR scheduling of the recording. Selecting Synch DVR from Device Settings should help reduce the likelihood of this problem occurring as often.

One other possibility is that someone made a Guide update in such a way that it looked like a completely different program was airing, and that resulted in your scheduled recording getting cancelled.

That is a possibility, but there is no way of knowing. I did reboot the box and have tried the Synch DVR setting, so hopefully it won't happen again.
