Ignite box does not work!

My Ignite TV box has never worked.  I have spent endless hours with tech support troubleshooting the issue only to have it work for a few hours or a few days but then it would not work again (same issue).  Over 1 year ago, I received a courtesy call asking for my comments on the Box and I explained that it never worked.  They wanted to troubleshoot yet again but I didn't have an hour to waste so we agreed on me being called back at a specific date and time....that call NEVER came.

Today well after 1 year of the box being of no use (and of course still paying for the monthly rental) I gave up and spent yet another hour troubleshooting only to have the same issue happen yet again but finally they are going to exchange it.  FINALLY but what happened to being able to return the box to a retail store yourself for an exchange?  Apparently that is no longer allowed?  Instead they courier you the replacement but then expect you to have a printer or go to a nearby staples or UPS for them to print the label that they email you at a later date to return their broken equipment!  Why isn't the return label included in the box??

maybe people were abusing the system by exchanging boxes to the store that were not faulty.  The fulfillment centre does reporting on the hardware that gets returned, you would not like it if something was flagged as defective when in fact after they conduct their QA testing on it and find out its not and can be re-sold to another customer.  the money they waste, gets passed on to you the consumer as billing increases, so not always a good idea

Good points.  It got me thinking what I would do.  At present I don't have or need a printer and I don't have a cell phone, so how would I even take an email to a place to get it printed?

PS.  That post is just hypothetical because I will be replacing my printer one of theses days.

last time I went to the post office, I think it was UPS, I simply gave the waybill number and the gentleman printed  a physical copy of the waybill for me.  He told me they have an agreement to generate labels for the big tech companies.  He told me they also offer printing services for people who do not own a printer, its 2025, who doesn't own a printer? how do you print your utility bills?

I normally have a printer but the present one died.  Anyway I why would I print my utility bill. I just save them bills on my computer and then every once in awhile I delete them.
