How do I control two TV boxes with RF

Fe34a68be
I've been here awhile

Hello all.

Controlling a XiOne-SC via IR is extremely horrible it barely works. I found out you can pair a remote for RF control.

This works wonderfully.

The problem comes from the fact that we have two boxes and two remotes.

When pairing via RF (Rogers + i buttons) both boxes are trying to pair.

Is there a way to have each box paired to each remote via RF and not affect each other or no?

Both ask for the code and entering the code simply allows one remote to control two boxes.

Thanks

@Fe34a68be This is easy to do.  First, start off by unpairing and factory-resetting all of your remotes by entering setup code 981 into each one.  This will avoid the potential problem of trying to pair a remote that is already paired to another set-top box.

To simplify pairing the Xfinity Voice Remote, unplug all but one of your set-top boxes, the one that you are currently trying to pair the remote to.  Next, initiate the pairing process by pointing your remote directly at the set-top box, press the Microphone button on the remote, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing and program the remote to control your TV.

Once you have completed the pairing and programming of the remote, move on to the next set-top box and repeat the process.

Make sure that you do not get your remotes mixed up.  Keep the remote close to the set-top box that it is paired to or it can make for a confusing situation later.

Perfect. It works. I tried it once without resetting the boxes to factory settings before reading your post. I unplugged one box, left the other on and paired via RF, then did the same to the other, but it still didn't work.

Resetting the remotes to factory settings and then doing what you said worked perfectly.

I never knew about the 981 code until now. Thank you. Everyone mentioned holding the WPS button while powering on, and I noticed it never fully cleared the settings.
