Canada Day weekend is upon us and there are more than enough events and fireworks shows to attend.
The Rogers Community Forums team wants to wish you a wonderful Canada day. We hope you have a relaxing long weekend. Let’s celebrate the 152nd birthday of this great country!
If you’re staying in the GTA, you can join the Blue Jays for Canada Day. The events are taking place from June 28 to July 1.
Like every year, there will be Canadian-themed activities happening throughout the ballpark! On Friday, June 28th, the first 15,000 fans to enter Rogers Centre will receive a Grichuk Ran-DollGiveaway.
On Monday, July 1st, the pregame festivities will definitely get you in the Canadian spirit. Make sure to get there early. Pregame ceremonies will honour the Canadian Armed Forces. Furthermore, the first 15,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a Blue Jays Relaxed Denim Hat Giveaway.
Normally, it’s quite hard to find some of the Toronto Blue Jays Canada Day tickets. However, there are still some up for grabs. You can find tickets and buy them here.
If you're not in Toronto, you can watch the games on Sportsnet and Sportsnet 4K.
The game on Friday is at 7:00 PM, while the one on Monday is at 1:00 PM.
Don’t forget to check what’s open on the Holiday Monday, as there are several closures.
What are your plans for the long weekend? Let us know!
On June 13, 2019, we introduced unlimited data plans with no overage charges on Canada’s most trusted, national network.
Your data never stops, so no more overage charges on your bill. Rogers Infinite plans start at $75 for 10GB of max speed data per month, so you can stream all the video, music and content you need, worry free. You then have unlimited data at reduced speeds so you can still text, and use basic email, browsing and apps. If you want more max speed data, you can purchase a Speed Pass for $15/3GB.
Rogers is proud to offer unlimited data to Canadians across the country, so you can truly make more possible.
Rogers Infinite Plans

Great news! Rogers began rolling out automatic band steering technology to select modems to optimize and simplify home WiFi performance.
We’ll be adding automatic band steering to the following modem models:
Hitron CGN3ACR WiFi Modem With AC
Hitron CGN3ACSMR WiFi Modem With AC
Hitron CGN3AMR WiFi Modem With AC
Hitron CGNM3552 WiFi Modem With AC
This feature is already enabled for the Rogers Ignite Modem (Arris XB6) included with Ignite TV bundles. We plan on also adding band steering to the Gigabit WiFi Modem in the future.
WiFi simplified: No more confusion! There’s only one network name and password to remember.
WiFi optimized: The modem does the work of selecting the best band (2.4GHz vs 5GHz) in real-time based on your device capabilities, the available signal strength and the traffic load on a given band.
Points to remember:
If you have WiFi devices that are set up to automatically connect/remember your previous network names and passwords, you will need to update your device settings to your new single band steering network.
Other factors can affect WiFi performance, such as your device make and model, whether you’re running other apps or devices in the home at the same time, signal interference from microwaves and other electronics, as well as building materials and layout for your home.
Band steering is available today, but you must enable it by logging into 192.168.0.1 admin portal or using MyWiFi app on a supported modem. After the roll out of this firmware, band steering should be automatically enabled after a modem factory reset OR as part of self-installation or tech-installation.
