Hey Community,

Mid last year, we announced that DAZN would have exclusive rights for 2017/2018 NFL Sunday Ticket.

Good news! For the 2018 season, DAZN decided to partner with cable companies to give fans other options to watch the games. Starting September 1, 2018, you can start ordering NFL Sunday Ticket from us.

It will only be available as a standalone package for $199.99 for the entire season. You can order the package at anytime during the season for the full price of $199.99.  Access to DAZN online is not included at this time.

This year’s season starts September 9. NFL Sunday Ticket will be available for ordering on both Digital TV and Ignite TV platforms. We’ll have more information for you as we get closer to the start of the season.

Available everywhere? Or only in select markets? Last year we were not able to purchase where we lived

Hello @Jnameth,

It looks like Hamilton is the only area where this service is not available, at this time. As a fellow Football fan, I know how disappointing this must be. I am hoping that this changes before the start of the new season.

Once the season starts, let the Community know if you are able to order it in your area.

Does the $199 include the Red Zone channel?

Hello @bwbloor,

Welcome to the Rogers Community!

For NFL fans, the beginning of the season can't come fast enough.

Starting September 1, 2018, you can order NFL Sunday Ticket from us. However, we do not have further information regarding Red Zone for the time being.

We’ll have more details as we get closer to the start of the season. Stay tuned!

If i have the Rogers Super Sports pak, is Sunday Ticket included in that?

Greetings @babrom!

A huge WELCOME to the Community! We hope you've been enjoying your time here!

My husband is also a big NFL fan and definitely likes to get access to as much coverage as possible!! If you review the original post in this thread from RogersMaude, it does explain that NFL Sunday Ticket will only be available as a standalone package for $199.99 for the entire season. In her same post, she provides some other very useful information that you may find helpful as well!

Are pre-season games available via Rogers?

I Plan to Stick Around

If I recall, prior to the mix-up involving DAZN a year ago, one could purchase the Super Sports Pak from Rogers, which included Sunday Ticket, NHL Center Ice, MLB, etc for about the same price as Rogers will now charge it's customers to obtain the Sunday Ticket package alone---$199. Probably another $199 if you want to obtain the NHL Center Ice package. It never ends!

ya thats what i had done for years, until DAZN took over last year, which was a disaster.  I think the problem is, technically DAZN still owns the rights for NFL games in Canada.  Last year I get it for Rogers because it was mid season, but this year why you cant package that with the Sports Pak, I dont know.

Hello, in the past I was able to get Redzone as a stand-alone channel, separate from the Sunday ticket pack - will this be available this season as well?

Thank you,

Hello @jbo1 and @markandshark!

Thanks for being a part of the Community and congratulations on your first post! 👍

I'm sure many of our customers are getting excited for the upcoming NFL season (my husband included!). As there are still a few things being finalized on our end, we ask that you reach back out to us come September as we should have a lot more information available for you at that time. Cheers! Smiley Happy

Hi There,

As someone who pays for DAZN and is also a Rogers TV/Internet customer, will I have access to watch the games on live TV already? Or will I need to pay an additional $199 on top of my already existing DAZN costs to watch the games on TV?

Also, will I be able to watch the games on a Rogers app? Or will I only be able to watch on TV?

Afternoon @garethbush,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for your post!

That's a good question, we currently do not have any updates on your inquiry. We should have more info. closer to when the season begins.

Why isn't the NFL package being included with the Super Sports Pak? It was all inclusive two years ago at a fixed cost. It basically means that Rogers is charging $200.00 additional dollars for the same sports package offered in 2016. A blatant money grab in my opinion.

Hello @Cameron65

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums! Congratulations on your first post. 😃

It is true that NFL Sunday Ticket was included with the Super Sports Pak a few years ago and it really was an awesome deal!

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to come to an agreement with the rights holder to include NFL Sunday Ticket with the Super Sports Pak this season. The NFL sold all digital rights worldwide (excluding Europe & US) to an online streaming service called DAZN.

You can read more about it and join the conversation by clicking here.

Hi Tony

Thanks for your response. As a long time Sports Pak subscriber, I remember that the NFL Sunday Ticket was only dropped from the  Sports Pak last year (2017), not a few years ago. At that time Rogers indicated it had in fact been outbid by DAZN re NFL broadcasting rights in Canada. The loss of NFL games was not reflected in a lowering of the Sports Pak fees by Rogers.  The charges remained the same even though you could only view a few NFL games on a couple of cable channels.

Now that Rogers can once again offer the Sunday ticket, it would be difficult to understand why Rogers wouldn't be able to offer the package  to Sports Pak subscribers at a fair and nominal price increase. Surely DAZN cannot dictate to Rogers how much you charge your clients for services offered. Does DAZN, as the rights holder, insist that Rogers charge its customers  an additional $200.00.

Hi Tony

In the spirit of transparency, Rogers should, at a minimum, offer its customers an explanation as to why a product offered at a fixed cost a little over a year ago, now costs almost 50% more for the same offerings! Does this cost reflect Rogers  having to pay DAZN 50% more to provide the same Sunday ticket than was the case when Rogers directly contracted with the NFL.

A company should feel compelled to offer its clients a reasonable explanation whenever this type of dramatic cost increase occurs. Especially one currently enjoying a first quarter profit of $425 million, up 37% from the same period last year. I realize cable sports is a mere drop in the bucket when compared to wireless profits etc. , but I feel that there's a principle of fairness at play here which should not be overlooked.

I had the Rogers Super Sports package for years, mostly for NFL football. When the rights were lost and NFL was no longer part of the package and there was no lowering of the price, I can say I was a little frustrated. Then they got the rights back and wanted to charge $140 for half a season?!?! I was never so frustrated in my life! I immediately cancelled the Sports Package along with my movie package. Phone and internet bundle is almost up, and I'll be gone for good!

This is great information as I was told by Rogers Sales this morning that NFL Sunday ticket isn't available through Rogers anymore.  This was after sales agent went to their "next level of support".    Odd that the service agents don't have any information about this .

Any new info on if we can get RedZone or not?

Good day @mmurney!

Welcome to the Community and congratulations on your first post!! 😁

If you're an NFL fan, I'm sure you'd like to get access to as much coverage as possible!! I regret to advise that DAZN and NFL Red Zone are not included with an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription this season. Feel free to visit the DAZN website for more information on NFL Red Zone. Thanks!

I'm Here A Lot

This is a total rip off by Rogers. Boils down to 50$ a month for NFLTicket. I am back with DAZN. 20$ a month and it includes the Red Zone. I hope that DAZN has improved from last year and personally I felt that it did improve as the season went on last year.

I Plan to Stick Around

I would like to know why Rogers has removed the NFL Sunday Ticket from the Super Sports Pak? Furthermore why is Rogers charging customers $199 for the NFL Sunday Ticket (on its' own) when the entire season can be picked up on DAZN for $80 ($20 per month x 4 months)?
This is ridiculous to put it mildly!

Will I be able to watch Sunday Ticket through my PS4?

Moderator

Hello @Iguanaman!

You can watch NFL Sunday Ticket through our Digital or Ignite TV boxes. We are exploring ways to offer streaming access to games, but at this time, you must purchase NFL Sunday Ticket if you want to watch the games through your set-top box.

RogersCorey

I've Been Around

I love how Rogers is ripping off customers who subscribe to the Super Sports Pack (like me).

I have been paying $36+ tax for a few years and it included NFL Sunday ticket. Last year NFL decided to screw over their fans by signing he deal with DAZN. Instead of reducing the cost of Super Sports Pack to customers, Rogers kept the price unchanged despite no longer including a huge vital chunk of programming we were paying for (NFL games).

Now that NFL games are back on Rogers, you’d figure everything will go back to normal for Super Sports Pack customers, nope! We have to pay extra for NFL now.

Since NFL is not included within the Super Sports Pack, why are we still paying the same price as we did when it was included?

It is very interesting and upsetting as a life long rogers customer that there is not more of an effort to get some answer for NFL Fans.. Either offer DAZN like you did as rights holder for NHL with the NHL app or charge the $20.00 DAZN costs. Even $25,,... and that 20$ is not just NFL its all sports so if your a footy fan MLS and Euro , Golf all kinds of content... Come on Rogers..you can do better!

MY REPLY - There's Rogers AnyPlace TV, the SportsPak is available via this option so why can I not get NFL Sunday Ticket. If I subscribe to a channel then I expect all those channels would appear on AnyPlace TV, including NFL Sunday Ticket.  Get this worked out or offer us a discount on NFL Sunday Ticket.
