On July 11, 2019, a new Smart Home Monitoring (SHM) package was made available – Smart Home Monitoring AutomateStay connected and protected from anywhere with live video streaming, real-time alerts and customized controls. It’s the smart home made easy.

Available exclusively for Rogers Internet customers, SHM Automate allows you to easily manage and control your smart devices and self-monitor your home.


What You Should Know:

  • No Touchpad: There is no Touchpad with the Automate package. You can use the Smart Home Monitoring app and new plug-in Smart Hub to control the camera, lighting, and sensors in your home.
  • Self-Monitored: The plan does not include professional 24/7 Central Monitoring. Instead, you will get alerts sent directly to your device via email or text message (depending on your alert settings).


What’s Included?

With the SHM Automate Hardware Kit, you get $299.96 of hardware for $0 upfront. The kit is only available on a 2-year term (standard Early Cancellation Fees apply). You cannot remove hardware from the kit, but you can certainly add additional hardware to best suit your needs.


The required Hardware Kit includes:

  • 1 HD Day/Night Camera; value of $169.99 
  • 1 Smart Hub; value $54.99 
  • 1 Door and Window Sensor; value of $49.99 
  • 1 Light Bulb; value of $24.99 


The Smart Home Monitoring Automate plan includes Lighting and Appliance Control and Live Video Streaming.


What to Know About Installation and MyRogers Setup

Smart Home Monitoring Automate is only available with professional installation ($99). It's ideal to setup your MyRogers account, and download and install the SHM mobile app before the technician arrives. The technician will be using your device and your SHM mobile app to complete the installation and setup.
