Hey Community!

 

I'm thrilled to officially announce our new program to recognize some our top contributors here in the Rogers Community Forums: The Rogers Resident Experts. 

 

The Resident Experts are tenured members of the community who have a demonstrated track record of posting helpful, objective responses and have committed a significant amount of their time to building the Rogers Community Forums.  

 

They're identified by a new rank (Resident Expert) and icon in the community:

Why should I become a Resident Expert?

 

Resident Experts get access to a private board where we'll be asking for feedback on Community-related decisions from design to features to programs; they also get a special rank in the Community and a few other exclusive privileges. 

 

RE's are NOT Rogers employees; RE's are volunteers in the community and we're grateful for their help!

 

How do I become a Resident Expert?

 

We're always on the lookout for new members to invite to the Resident Expert program.  Do you consistently provide help to other users in the community?  Do you have a positive attitude towards Rogers and our community?  You never know … we might tap you on the shoulder one day! 

 

Think we should consider you as a Resident Expert?  Feel free to reach out via PM. 

 

Additions to the Resident Expert program will be announced in this blog.

 

Congratulations to our inaugural Resident Experts!  We're thrilled that you've chosen to hang out here with us and share your knowledge and passion with the rest of the community!

Hello everyone! 

 

On behalf of my self i want to welcome the rest of the RE's that have joined the RE program! We, all of us devote our own time to help each and everyone one of you to make sure you guys get the right answers and on time. We might at times not give the right answers but we all tend to learn and try to help out as much as we can! ( i am always on even at work lol) 

 

 

I want to thank Rogers Gina, Rogers Margaret, Rogers Darrel and the rest of the Rogers online staff that have helped us and made this a better place to be.  This program will indeed bring more users to the RE program and be more helpful for us.

I'm pleased to be a part of this special program.

 

Helping others has always been important to me and these forums are another way in which I can do so. To be part of the Rogers RE program offers me more ways to help out around here.

 

Thank you to the Rogers team for recognizing my contributions and I encourage anyone to PM any one of the RE members if your issue is not getting resolved to your  satisfaction.

I agree with both Meowmix and BillJ's posts above 🙂

But for everyone to remember.. we ARE NOT rogers employees (so pleast dont send us account info, etc).

We will usually try our best to do all we can to help people. But remember, we are volenteers.  Some of us on on here like ALL day.. but we do have other lives as well.. and sometimes it may take time for someone to respond 🙂

Well, I was roped kicking and screaming into this. Smiley Wink I protested that I don't have the latest equipment, so can't really advise on most of the problems now being posted. However, I've been a Rogers cable customer for a long time, so may be able to help people with general questions and those concerning the SA8300SD and HD PVRs, which I have. I guess I'll also have to bite my tongue and refrain from derogatory comments, or get booted from the club. Smiley LOL

I would like to know more about the nature of this feedback system and what policies guide the people who interact with it, and more importantly the people who run it?

 

The reason for this question is that I sense a very healthy community and am very interested in the philosophy behind it.

Hello RobertGCrook Unfortunately you posted this in the wrong section. You can contact Rogers via calling them, Live Chat, Facebook or Twitter @RogersHelps and have them give you the Voicemail number for Guelph.

I just moved to a new place. Am trying to hook up my Apple TV for Netflix etc., but my wifi network does not appear in the list. Can you tell me how to set up my wifi network?

I have a Samsung smart TV 3D . I connected yesterday the Next Box 3 and the Wi-Fi modem/router , plus got my phone connected with Rogers Bundles . I am in the proses of checking out all the intricacies of all the equipment hardware and new software in both the TV and Computer . I'll tell you it is a real process .

Thanks for your post but no body is writing anything about the rate increase . Just compare your rates with Bell or Cogeco or Shaw CBL you will get the answer.
