How to Reboot your ignite TV Box

There are several ways to safely reboot your Ignite TV box without the worry of losing any of your settings or content. Below you will find four different options along with simple, step by step instructions.

 

By Manually Unplugging:

  • Unplug your Ignite TV Box.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug your Ignite TV Box back in.

 

From the Help Menu:

  1. Press the A button on your Voice Remote to open the Help menu.
  2. Select Restart.
  3. Select Restart again to confirm.
  4. Wait a few moments for the system to reboot.

From Device Settings:

  1. Press the Rogers button on your Voice Remote to open the main menu.
  2. Select Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Select Power Preferences.
  5. Select Restart.
  6. Select Restart again to confirm.
  7. An Ignite TV welcome screen should display, then the Ignite TV Box will resume playing the previous channel.

 

Good to know: If you’re still experiencing a problem with your Ignite TV service, run through this checklist:

  • The Ignite TV Box is on, the TV is set to the appropriate input source and tuned to one of your subscribed channels.
  • All HDMI cables between the Ignite TV Box and the TV are firmly connected.
  • The coaxial cable feed is firmly connected to the Ignite WiFi modem and the wall jack.
  • The cool-down warning isn’t on your Ignite TV Box. If so, take measures to remove your Ignite TV devices from its overheated environment (i.e., remove any other devices stacked on top of it).
  • If the TV audio output is connected to a home theatre unit, the unit is on and set to the appropriate input source.
