That seems correct. My T-Mobile Pay Go Data just lets me know when I run out of data and I see no reason why Rogers can't do the same. The conclusion is they want to encourage me to migrate to a monthly plan in order to use my data as I see fit. When I purchase 1 GB of data it should not matter to Rogers if I use it all on my phone or provide myself a Hotspot for my IPad. It's the same cost for me and the same revenue for them. As I said, Telus has informed me that they will allow me to do what I want so both my wife and I will be leaving Rogers after more than 10 years with them.
