Opt-out of $10 extra monthly plan?

This is in regards to the $10/month extra plan that was circulated via text message back in July, don't remember the specifics but for an extra $10 you get additional text massages or something, and you had until July 31 2018 to call in a opt-out - is it still possible to opt-out of it?

Re: Opt-out of $10 extra monthly plan?

Hello @Dlink10,

Welcome to the Rogers Community! We thank you very much for your post.

Having the ability to manage your plan and add-ons as you may see fit is definitely something you have the ability to do!

While we are not certain of the particular offer you benefited from, we most certainly want to show you the right direction to get the help you need.

To bring changes to your services, sign in to your MyRogers account to complete it through self-serve tools at your disposition or reach out to one of our Pay-As-You-Go experts. To do so, please dial 1-800-575-9090.

After confirming the language in which you wish to continue, press 4, then 4 again.

At the end of the third menu, press 1 to reach an agent quickly.

Their hours of operations are:

Monday to Friday: 8 AM - 12 AM

Saturday: 8 AM - 9 PM

Sunday: 10 AM - 8 PM

Hope this helps!

Re: Opt-out of $10 extra monthly plan?

@Dlink10 : By way of clarification, if you were previously on the (old, grandfathered) "Anytime" plan, where your balance rolled over, you typically had a few months to notice that your plan changed without your knowledge and you could still revert to your old Anytime plan.

If, however, you actually agreed to whatever plan you're on now, it would be difficult to "switch back".  Here's a link to the various changes this past year.

As mentioned by @RogersMaude above, if you simply wish to change your current plan/options, then you should be able to do that online or by calling.

Just wanted to mention that if you were originally  on the "Anytime  Plan " and got switched to the $10 a month plan and Rogers won't reinstate the old plan  .... there are competitors out there that do still offer the "Anytime " type of pay as you go plan . Some of them even use the Rogers network . Smiley Wink

Please let us know what you find out .
