Unlocking cell phone

I have a Motorola V190 on pre-paid that I would like to unlock so I can use with another sim card when travelling to the US.  Where can I obtain the subsidy number.

you can get it done through Rogers for $50 or you can go to any reputable unlocking business, for a competitive but fair price.

hi you can use codes to unlock your motorola  mobile
 from the particular network .you can purchase the codes.

ask the country and the network name to which your mobile is locked and the imei number
of the mobile .finally they will send you the codes to unlock your mobile along with
the instructions about how to use the codes in your mobile.

Apparently not although they say they do and charge for it but don't get the job done. It cost me $50.00 and when I tried it out it was NOT unlocked

Yes Rogers does unlock phones. You may need to go back to their store you unlocked it from or call back and explain why it's not unlocked for. Yes the $50 is mandatory for a customer to unlock their device with Rogers.


Are you sure it's not unlocked?. Did you put the sim card in properly and did u change the APN Settings for it to work?. If you did all that, contact Rogers the same way u did when unlocked the phone and explain what's going on

last year i purchased a nokia C3-00 from petro canada who apparently uses rogers. I was told that my phone is locked to rogers. I tried to have it unlocked but the third party was unable to do it. Petro Canada will not give me any help whatsoever What about Rogers. i do not want to pay if it won't work. Really makes me mad--paid almost 150 for the phone and now they want more--not as thought i was ever on a plan. i bought the phone ouotright from the start . Feel like i have been scammed.

Unfortunately this is not a Rogers issue as you bought the phone via Petro Canada. You need to contact them & have them figure it out.

Rogers can only unlock Rogers locked devices if you buy it from them outright OR get a device via them on a contract. If you buy it full price from Rogers, you can unlock it right there & then. If on contract it will take 90 days to unlock it.

You can try & contacting Rogers to see MAYBE they can unlock it for you for a fee of $50 but might get turned down.

when i put in my eimei or whatever with the phone unlocking company it comes up as locked to rogers.  is there some way i can check if my phone is even locked as now when i turn it on it say the sim card registration failed.

You can contact Rogers & see if they can see what is going on or visit their store as there is no way online to figure that out.

You called in and deactivated ur account or suspended it?

If you called and they suspended the account, call into Rogers via home phone or family members phone or visit the Rogers store closest to you and have them open the line again.
