Hi, can someone at Rogers who is reading this please escalate internally? There are a couple of key locations that my wife and I spend most of our time that have very weak coverage. It's been like this for many many years.
1. The subdivision in the south-west quadrant of Teston Rd and Cityview Blvd. This is in Woodbridge. LTE signal (regardless of device) is usually only one bar and speed tests are no more than about 8Mbps. The phones will also occasionally drop to 3G where speeds are around 1Mbps. As a comparison, Bell has full LTE signal in the entire area here with speeds above 100Mbps. What's even more interesting is that Bell installed another tower in the area, which I presume is for even more capacity (because signal was already very strong with Bell). So your competitors are installing new infrastructure even though they need it far less than Rogers.
2. Bolton North Hill subdivision. This is located in the Hwy 50 and Colombia Way area (subdivision east of that). Rogers phones almost always drop to 2G EDGE (yes, you read that correctly...2G!). Again, Bell has had full LTE signal in that area for a long time.
Can a Rogers employee please let me know if/when the areas mentioned above will get an upgrade? It's been far too long for these locations to be without proper signal, especially since they're very populated areas. Also, Rogers used to have a sticky on these forums with planned and upcoming network upgrades...I really miss having that info
It surely can't be smooth sailing with weak signals and slow speeds. I appreciate the details you've provided. Here at Rogers, we work around the clock to improve our network to meet your needs.

I haven't reported it via NetworkAid...I'll try that next. Just FYI though, Rogers says both locations are fully covered (strong signal) with LTE. That simply isn't true at all. The first location (Teston Rd and Cityview) is just north of Toronto (right around Wonderland to be precise), so there's no reason why signal should be as bad as it is. Looking at a 3rd party cell tower map, Rogers could desperately use a tower in the convenience store plaza parking lot at the corner of Canada Dr and Weston Rd to improve signal quality to the entire area. I've seen these types of Rogers towers in other parking lots...Rogers needs one here
If the coverage you receive doesn't align with our coverage map, then reporting through NetworkAid is the best way to proceed forward.
If there is a legitimate gap in coverage there, reporting in this way helps us to identity these gaps.
Thought I'd share another bad coverage experience that my wife and I had recently. Took a trip to Windsor to visit family. We spent some time at the Devonshire mall and Caesars Windsor casino. Four different Rogers devices all behaved similarly...2G EDGE only inside most of the mall and the casino. This is VERY different from what the Rogers coverage maps show, which indicate "good indoor and outdoor" LTE coverage throughout the entire Windsor area. Completely false. My Telus work phone had full LTE signal all over the mall, casino, and most of Windsor, only falling back to full 3G in a few places. So once again, the coverage map is wrong and your competitors are out-performing Rogers. I also reported this thru the Network Aid tool. Thanks.
Thank you for your post. I appreciate submitting the feedback through NetworkAid, currently, this is the best way to report an area issue.
