I'm looking to buy an unlocked LG G6, typically I usually buy an AT&T phone with no issues. But looking at all of the different models and various prices I'm not sure which to buy...? Any suggestions?

Here are the band's fom the G6 that Rogers sells

H873 [Canada]: GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA: B1/B2/B4/B5 LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B6/B7/B12/B13/B20/B66

Here are the AT&T version Bands

H871 [AT&T - USA]: GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA: B1/B2/B4/B5 LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B12/B20/B29/B30

Here are the band's for the Verizon version.

CDMA: BC0/BC1 GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA: B2/B4/B5 LTE: B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B13/B20/B66

And here are the band's for the factory unlocked US version

Welcome to the Community and thank you for your contribution!

 

You should have the ability to use an unlocked LG G6 on Rogers' network as long as they have the same GSM compatible frequencies/bands, regardless of the carrier it originates from.

 

However, we can't assure you that it will be entirely functional accross all platforms, since the phone you are looking to get is not officially supported by Rogers.

 

When using a "non-Rogers" phone, don't forget to enter the appropriate Rogers LTE APN Settings!

Im planning on buying the v30 from the states for at&t. Im wondering if it will work with my chatr sim? I dont quite understand the bands thing. I think chatr uses 850 and 1900?

GSM/EDGE (2G) Bands 850/900/1800/1900
HSPA/UMTS (3G/4G) Bands 850/1700/1900/2100
Domestic 4G LTE Bands 2/4/5/12/29/30/66

That's the v30 specs, I think it'll work with chatr? And that's after an unlock

Hi. Another frequency question. I'm looking at a HTC 10 EVO 64GB Factory Unlocked. I know it has some of the bands but not all the bands. Will this affect performance. Namely the 1700 lte band it missing.
If it matters I live in Calgary.

Band 4 1700/2100 is Rogers Main LTE Band, I personally wouldn't buy a phone without it.
