Will Xiaomi RedMi Pro Prime 32Gb works with Rogers? It uses the following frequencies
2G: GSM 900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz; CDMA 2000: BC0
4G: FDD-LTE 1800/2100/2600MHz
I think Rogers uses 2G 850/1900MHz, The phone can only uses one of the 2 bands
Likewise for 4G, Rogers uses 700/1700/2100/2600. The phone can uses only 2 of the 4 bands. Will I get drop calls?

In theory, no you should not have dropped calls. The phone should be compatible with our service, however, please keep in mind we cannot guarantee the functionality of an unlocked device on our network.

The Rogers network uses the 850 & 1900 WCDMA for voice calls and the 700, 2100, & 2600 for Data usage.
If your phones are unlocked and have these frequencies they should work fine with no issues.
I imported an unlocked Xiaomi Mi Max to use on the Rogers network... knowing that I may have some network issues. I'm just hoping someone can explain my best / worst case scenario and provide any tips to improve connection.
I understand that the phone operates on the following bands:
|2G bands||GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2|
|CDMA 800 / 1900|
|3G bands||HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100|
|4G bands||LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(250|
I also understand that Rogers broadcasts on several bands, including LTE 2600... so I was hoping LTE would work.
Ultimately what I have working is HSPA 60% of the time, dropping down to 3G about 35% of the time, and then dropping to no signal from time to time.
Is there anything I can do to get LTE to work?
Assuming not, is there anything I can do on my end to help stabilize the HSPA connection to avoid dropping down to 3G and no signal.
I'm mostly in downtown Ottawa.

You should technically be able to consistently use your imported device, as it should be compatible with Rogers' network. While using a non-Rogers phone, we can't assure you that you access our LTE network. However, the 1900 MHz spectrum ia available nationally, and it should be working with the phone you purchased.
Did you make sure that you had the proper Rogers LTE APN Settings?
My current plan is only for calling and texting. My phone supports 2G: GSM 900/1900/2100MHz, Will it work with 850/900/1900/2100MHz?

As previously indicated in this thread, you should be able to use your non-Rogers phone, as it is compatible with some of Rogers' frequencies. However, we can't assure you that you get access to our LTE network.
Simply make sure that you add the proper Rogers LTE APN Settings!
