Re: ROGERS APN

HSDPA USB MODEM

I want to connect a HSDPA USB modem to get an internet access to the Rogers network.

The data only SIM card works fine on other devices.

Installation software works fine and shows the devise "Qualcomm USB Modem 6000" properly installed.

It identified the Roger Wireless Network with the following parameters:

Number         *99#

Username:    wapuser1

Password       ***

Apn                internet.com

Priority UMTS box checked

But connexion fails

Any idea how to make it working?

Thanls a lot

Re: ROGERS APN

Good Afternoon @Jacky1,

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Please read the first post on page one of this thread or click here and read our "How To" article for APN Settings, to ensure you have everything set up correctly.

Also, did you purchase the HSDPA USB modem from another provider? If so, did you ensure it is not locked to that provider?

Hope this helps!

Re: ROGERS APN

MMS not working- APN Settings on Unlocked Android device

Hello! I have spent an hour making new APN's to try to get my unlocked Nexus 6 to be able to send and receive MMS.

I have just deleted all of the APNs. Can someone please send me screenshots of their APN screen, including both the MMS APN and the LTE APN?

I followed MULTIPLE posts already, but none seem to work.

I followed the stickied post in this forum about APNs but it still isn't working.

I dont understand which APNs I need. As well, the stickied post doesn't have all the information I need, like APN type for each APN, etc....

A screenshot of the APNs working on an unlocked Android device on the rogers network would be great.

Re: ROGERS APN

Good evening @gentlemanjim,

Thank you for your post and sorry for the late reply.

Were you able to get your issue sorted since you originally posted?

I definitely want to help you shed some light on this situation, in order to allow you to use your Rogers service with your actual unlocked Android device.

I did some digging with regards to the APN for your particular device.

Would you please have the ability to try the following APN settings ?

Settings

Details

Name

Rogers LTE

APN

ltemobile.apn

Username

Not required

Password

Not required

MMSC

http://mms.gprs.rogers.com

MMS Proxy

10.128.1.69

MMS Port

80

MCC

302

MNC

720

APN Type

Default, Supl, MMS

MVNO Type

spn

MVNO Match Data (Value)

ROGERS

I am confident that the APN above will allow you to connect to the Rogers LTE network and grant you access to MMS transmissions. Let us know if this resolved your issue! Smiley Wink

This worked for me, with my LG G4 international version (H815), currently getting LTE and functional MMS. Thank you Maude!

Re: ROGERS APN

Galaxy S5 after update to Android 6.0.1 from Rogers then APN changed to the following settings:-

SS1.jpgThe problem is no longer to edit the APN type with only fixed selections as follows:-

SS2.jpg

In order to get tethering to work properly with my S5 from Rogers in Android 4.4.2 & 5.1.1 etc..., the APN type has to be set as default, supl, mms, dun

Now devices can connect to my S5 but simply unable to get data access through tethering!

I believe at least it has to include dun in APN type. (I think dun stands for dial up networking)

Any help please???

Re: ROGERS APN

Good afternoon @bidonline,

Thank you for your post & Welcome to the Forums!

Have you tried entering 2 different APN, one for MMS and one for Data transmissions?

Please try the following APN Settings for both your Internet and multimedia messages:

Name: Rogers LTE
APN: ltemobile.apn

Proxy: Not Set

Port: Not Set
Username: media
Password: mda01

Server: 172.25.0.107
MMSC : http://mms.gprs.rogers.com

MMS Proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 720
APN Type: Internet + MMS

MVNO Type: spn

MVNO Match Data (Value) :ROGERS

How to enter a Rogers APN Settings on your Android device :

Settings > Wireless Connections > More > Mobile Networks > Access Add New – add the APN info above > Save.

If you would like me to provide you the settings for each LTE & MMS seperately, please let me know.

I am confident we will have the ability to help you resolve this matter!

I also wanted to share something with you. Please see the below "screenshot" :

It is primordial that your Rogers Tethering is set to : ltedata.apn

Hope this helps!

Re: ROGERS APN

Thank you for your help and reply.

Does it matter given I only have the following 2 APN files in my S5?  If it's fine much appreciate if you would also provide the settings in ltedata.apn as well.  FYI, I do see dun under APN type in it.

Look forward to hearing from you soon...
