Roger's no longer including NHL game Center

I talked with a management rep and its true they are no longer including NHL game center in Roger's share everything plans.
Not only as a customer I think it's a dumb idea as I loved having it and I'm sure many canadians loved it as well as were a big NHL country 🙂 but a business standpoint what is Roger's thinking!?!?! This is a major incentive that people choose rogers over other carriers. Also Roger's as the rights to NHL in Canada as a Roger's customer shouldn't we get rewarded with it free or at least discounted, or is Roger's trying to double dip on customers by getting money for our share everything plan and now NHL subscriptions

For the love of GOD please Roger's go back and think about this and re add the NHL back to share everything plans

Interesting, I signed up for a package offer from winback dept on 10 Aug 2018 - two year agreement covering Internet / Home Phone and cable - offering also lists Roger Game Center Live. I just confirmed am able to log in just fine. Seems I am covered for 2 years.

Good for you! Perhaps they still include Game Center Live for customers who subscribe to internet, home phone and cable packages. The beef of most posters to this thread is that Rogers stopped including Game Center Live as an add-on to their Share Everything cell phone plans without any notice or decrease in price, similar to what they did with Shomi and Spotify.

I switched to Ignite back in August and asked if I’d be getting everything I previously had. I was assured I would only to find out no longer getting NHL Game Centre. 12 year loyal customer about to switch to bell as soon as contract runs out.

Switched to Telus and the service (in western Canada) is much better. Here's the lesson for Rogers: I was a customer for 10 years and would never have switched, or even looked at another provider if you hadn't flat out lied. Here's the lesson for the consumer: Telecom companies live by the law of inverse loyalty, the longer you stay the more you're a fool. I'll love my provider for two years and then it's another zero sum game for the best price.

thanks but no thanks, recently rebundled with rogers and come to find out NHL package is no longer include as an extra incentive. Will promptly be cancelling my suscripton and swithching to Bell.

Just found that Rogers disappeared NHL Game Center Live from my account...claims my agreement expired Aug 2019. I wonder why I am looking at a document that states agreement start 10 Sept 2018 - Agreement end 09 Sept 2020 and clearly states Roger Game Center Live as part of the offering.

Just spoke to a very smart person at Customer Care who was just so adamant that I do not have the service and not entitled. Said I will need to purchase for $179.99....I asked if Rogers will be providing a credit and she said no. I love it when I reach the I know everything department.

Yep thanks for posting. Answered my question about why i'm suddenly not able to use the app I've enjoyed for the last 2 years. Was on the fence about continuing with rogers when i get a new device in 2 weeks, but now the decision is easier to dump Rogers for a competitor.

There is an update - spent about 4 hours on this overall.

Since Rogers cannot receive emails from customers or call up their own Service Agreement Confirmations, I was required to go to a Rogers store and show my confirmation listing NHL Centre Ice as well as contract expiry date. Agent updated interaction notes. I purchased NHL Centre Ice online using my credit card and was provided a credit on my account by Rogers.

Such a sad state of affairs...must be pretty embarrassing for Rogers ees

You're lucky. I think you are the only person that Roger's has treated like a customer they'd like to keep.

Thankfully my contract is over. I don't have to worry about them feeding me false promises anymore. Good bye Rogers. 14+ year customer finally free.
