I talked with a management rep and its true they are no longer including NHL game center in Roger's share everything plans.
Not only as a customer I think it's a dumb idea as I loved having it and I'm sure many canadians loved it as well as were a big NHL country 🙂 but a business standpoint what is Roger's thinking!?!?! This is a major incentive that people choose rogers over other carriers. Also Roger's as the rights to NHL in Canada as a Roger's customer shouldn't we get rewarded with it free or at least discounted, or is Roger's trying to double dip on customers by getting money for our share everything plan and now NHL subscriptions
For the love of GOD please Roger's go back and think about this and re add the NHL back to share everything plans

Only reason I kept Rogers as a provider other than that you are the same except with extra billing

I just cancelled my service because of this. Shame on your Rogers, I didn't even know this happened until the season started and I couldn't watch the games. Currently, Fido has 6 gigs of data for 60$ if you bring your own phone. I'll happily eat the early cancellation fees to get away from Rogers. The only incentive I had to stay the last few years was Gamecenter live for free, the service is not worth paying for as the stream was choppy at the best of times even with 300MBPS up and down.

While I very much appreciated having Shomi(which was better than Netflix for me) and the NHL network - both of these services have stopped without even communicating it to the customer.
Rogers has been the only provider I’ve had(started in 1998) but it will change now. Not having these services is bad enough, not knowing I wouldn’t have these services is unacceptable.

WOW! I just found out that I don’t have access to streaming NHL games anymore as part of my monthly wireless charges. I find this to be a blatant attempt to gain more money from customers without reducing their bills for services they are losing. No one asked for this stream saver stuff, people signed on because of this amazing ability to stream NHL games at home via the NHL app, choose different view etc. Thankfully I did not sign on to a wireless contract, I am seriously considering another wireless provider because of Rogers choice to eliminate a service that was included in my monthly charges. How come my monthly charges have not been reduced? I agreed to pay a certain amount on money per month for my wireless phone services that included NHL, what is that service worth? It really should automatically be a reduction in my bill if I am losing any services that was included when I signed on. Sure, the fine print says Rogers can change anything they want when they want, it doesn’t mean that it’s a good choice for customer service. In fact, it brings back the thoughts of Rogers still up to no good by screwing customers out of things they paid for and then taking them away for raising the costs. Even if I want to buy my own phone and change it on my current wireless account I am told I have to sign up to a new package, for the exact same service I get now I will have to pay an extra $20 per month on top of the $100 I’m already paying, and this while losing the main reason I signed on with Rogers in the first place. I’m a 20 year customer and Rogers is about to lose this long time customer because of this poorly thought out decision. I sincerely hope those at Rogers reconsiders this NHL decision. As more people become aware of this now that the NHL season is gearing up Rogers customers are going to be leaving in droves. I will find another way to watch my NHL games, but I am not going to be scammed into signing on to the Rogers NHL for $30 a month or several hundred for the year. It’s just not worth it unless you watch multiple hockey games every day which is the minority. Good bye Rogers. Thanks for disappointing your hockey fan customers. You already ruined Hockey Night in Canada which I just can’t watch anymore, just the games now. BTW, I already cancelled my tv services and went with a competitor because of similar decisions like this taking away the NHL game viewing inclusion in the plan I bought, which I am still paying the SAME PRICE FOR LESS!!!! Just absolutely horrible customer service on this one, horrible and solidifies the bad view the public has with Rogers constantly doing these kinds of things to their customer, new and old. 20 years and I’ve never been so upset at having a service taken away from me, without being notified by mail or on my bill. And no reduction in my bill for losing that service.. What a scam. I intend to make a complaint to the better business bureau on this and suggest everyone who is still paying the same they were when they had the NHL service since having it taken away from them. Pure greed by Rogers.

I’d also like to add, your implying that it was a “great incentive” is incorrect. It was a service that was included in my monthly wireless charges. Not some nice gift you guys were giving me, it was part of the price I paid monthly. So I expect a discount or get my NHL back. And I will be calling into customer service to get that discount or NHL back or I’ll just go to another provider that won’t do this to their most loyal customers. Thank you.

I know how great the Spotify and NHL Live experiences were with your Share Everything plan, it really was an awesome incentive.
While we try to minimize the number of changes that we make to our services, from time to time we do make changes to our offers. While we no longer offer Rogers NHL LIVE and Spotify Premium with our wireless plans, we will still deliver great value with features such as Roam Like Home, Worry-Free Data Management, Stream Saver, and access to GamePlus in the MyRogers app.
Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns, the Community is a great place to make your opinions known about any changes to your services.

It is embarrassing to still be a Rogers customer! I will remedy that as soon as the early cancellation fees become affordable. I let it go when they cancelled Shomi without discounting my monthly charges but now I realize how gullible I was - they showed me how they like to treat their customers but I assumed it wouldn't be repeated. Now they cancel Spotify and NHL Gamecentre without dropping their prices! The end of my contract cannot come soon enough!

My plan ends in December, I will be switching to Eastlink, they have a much cheaper plan with more data than Rogers, I stayed with Rogers last time because of NHL Gamecentre live, no point in staying now. I spoke to customer service and they wont do anything about it. See ya Rogers. But you have nothing good to offer now.

I had no service on the highway with my phone today as Roger's has awful coverage in Nova Scotia.
So they lied to me and tricked me into a renewal in august. In 22 months I take all 3 lines to BellAlliant. Too many ownership changes have ruined what was once a canadian company that cared for its customers. If I'm going to suffer awful customer loyalty I at least want a working service.

My fervent wish is that the "powers that be," the ones that made the terrible decision to remove GCL, Spotify & Texture, are made aware of these threads.
For every person that posts on this forum, I am sure there are numerous other people out there grumbling but just don't take the time to write. Rogers is alienating more than just the members of this forum thread. That is the topic!

Extremely disappointing on Rogers part. I renewed my plan for 2 years in March and specifically asked if this will be included for which I was assured it is. I received no notice about the cancellation and only figured it out when trying to tune into the 1st game of the year last week. Also because of this I now need to purchase an additional service to watch my favorite hockey team because I canceled my tv package since I only needed it to watch hockey. After 11+ years with Rogers and I am only 30 years old I will be canceling both my lines and unless there is a major policy change will not be returning as this makes me feel cheated.

I just moved from Halifax to Ottawa and left Bell in the process. One of the reasons in my calculation was access to NHL Live. It was a sensible offer. $200 a year just to watch a few blackout games is absolute nonsense. And whatever Rogers higher up that thought removing that benefit would go over well with customers ought to be shown the door. I'm livid, and I will look for the next opportunity to vote with my dollars.
Cell, home security, TV & max speed internet. Like that business Rogers? You're not showing it.

Well that is the last straw. As soon as my family contract is up we are moving to another provider. Every year Rogers charges more and more for less and less.

Agree with the previous postings, kinda sad losing a great benefit. Will consider changing providers in the future.

After contacting Rogers support was told that we no longer have NHL Game Center after 5 plus years. It was included in my share everything plan and then without any notice was removed. Not impressed at all and it was one of the perks we have stayed with Rogers but obviously we aren’t valued as customers.

So do other cell carriers offer basic services. As a Rogers client for many years, it was Gamecenter which enticed me to increase my plan for services I rarely use but willing to pay the extra, Share-everything plan. Now there is no reason not to look at other carriers because Rogers prices were no incentive, I stayed a a loyal customer. The Gamecenter was what kept myself and probably many from switching. Well, if you do not appreciate long term loyal clients and not take care of them, you know the business consequences. What is worse, I had to find out by surprise, Rogers did not even have the decency to advise me, and most likely most everyone else. This was part of my plan included in the package. I am disappointed after being a long time client even when I have spent much more money with Rogers over the past 12-14 years instead of going with their competitors, because I have morals and remained loyal to Rogers. What is sadder is that past 5 years Rogers stock increased from $44 to $67 and net profit of 425 million, up 37% from a comparable period of 2017 with adjusted earning increasing even more.
Rogers, share a little wealth, myself I do not mind paying a higher premium as long as the service is there.
Cannot say that Rogers has reciprocated the sentiment.
