I talked with a management rep and its true they are no longer including NHL game center in Roger's share everything plans.
Not only as a customer I think it's a dumb idea as I loved having it and I'm sure many canadians loved it as well as were a big NHL country 🙂 but a business standpoint what is Roger's thinking!?!?! This is a major incentive that people choose rogers over other carriers. Also Roger's as the rights to NHL in Canada as a Roger's customer shouldn't we get rewarded with it free or at least discounted, or is Roger's trying to double dip on customers by getting money for our share everything plan and now NHL subscriptions

For the love of GOD please Roger's go back and think about this and re add the NHL back to share everything plans

This is the only reason I've ever stayed with Rogers. Sad that I have to give them money until Dec. 2019 but when I'm done I'm going somewhere else, no question. Been with them for more than 12 years straight, and have never been shown any loyalty back. This is just another addition to a lengthy list of things they've done.

What a joke! I had a better offer from Bell recently but decided to stay with Rogers because I watch a ton of NHL games, and this made staying worthwhile, even with a ton of issues with Internet at my house. Now that this is gone it's a no brainer to switch. Thanks Rogers. Looking forward to my phone contract expiring soon as well so that I can be done with all of your services.

Do you honestly thing that makes it even...
Features decreasing and bill increases, we had a contract yet I did not see my pricing lower with decreased features, and yes NHL was one of the only reasons I am with Rogers so don't be surprised why I leave.

Brutal.  I pay Rogers close to $1,000 per month on our family plan. Great PR Rogers in the era of customers cutting the phone and cable lines - what do,you do?   Raise fees and reduce programming / benefits.  We consolidated our internet with Rogers in the past year for these types of loyalty benefits.  What do we get?  Reduced benefits and worse internet speed.  

 

You have lost my business.

I see everyone on here is just as disappointed as I am about the idiocracy that is save pennies and lose dollars mentality being displayed by the latest Decision by Rogers management and marketing teams.

This is not even close to what they should be doing. Their service is not great and in comparison to other providers of their services, especially wireless, they had an edge with this.

I am a huge Habs fan and was greatly excited about how many games I get compared to other free options (and they are out there). The video on NHL GCL is terrible even with direct Ethernet connection but was tolerable as it was free. The ability to watch whatever when ever without having to record was a bonus.

I used this in my budget calculations in order to choose my next provider and will not be with Rogers in the future unless this is re-instated.

Disappointed, I would like to have someone from Rogers legitimately post a response that isn’t a cookie cutter response to address this wide spread customer complaint. I call on CEO or CFO to explain to me as a customer and shareholder what value this decision will bring to the bottom line. Will this increase your customer base to ensure that the double dip you were hoping for in the business decision comes to fruition. I think not. Will you see this as a marketing ploy that can be incorporated into Add campaigns in the future. I think not. Do you legitimately believe that your service record and customer support are strong enough to maintain loyalty. I know not.

UBC partnership will not be all you’ll need to keep/create customer and shareholder base.

I signed up for 2 new iphones/plans for my kids this past summer because of NHL Gamecentre Live. No one told me at the time that the service was no longer offered. I'll be switching to a new provider as soon as I can, after having been happy with and loyal to Rogers for 13 years.

So after speaking to a rep today, they just decided not to renew the package and that’s why they are taking it away. Bad business, thankfully I can buy out my contract soon and leave.

The NHL package was the material reason I chosse Rodgers for my mobile plan AND opted for the higher tier Share Everything plan. I have quiet literarily wasted 3 hours of my time trying to speak to Rodgers about how this is a deal breaker for me and how my loyalty to their company depends on it.

What was Rogers response “all we can offer you is %25 off for next season.”

Not good enough. Now I’m paying a top tier plan that I really don’t need AND I don’t get the one thing that made me choose Rogers in the first place.

When I compare my plans with friends my plan is always almost the most expensive.

I think it’s time I find a more affordable plan elsewhere so I can afford the NHL for this year.

Adding to the fact the I can drive between 2 major cities 2 hours apart and not have good enough service to have an on going phone call plus poor customer service and after all the get gauged on a ridiculous bill. Then find out there dropping such services, to be honest it was the only thing that kept me with Rogers. The absolute only thing. With business and personal I pay on average 400.00/600.00 a month, id rather give it to someone else and will be telling everyone else to do the same.

I will be leaving Rogers this was what kept me with them despite all the trouble I had with them ! Other company s with way cheaper rates more service . TIME TO MOVE ON !

I just renewed, I had no idea NHL Live was no longer being included in the package. I've always been a Rogers customer. I will research the other carriers next time around.

Not happy.

Hi Rogers,

The only reason I switched to Rogers from Koodo is because of the NHL Game Center access. Otherwise, your service is no different than other companies. I will plan to discontinue my Rogers account since I am no longer getting what I signed up for.

Instead of having poor Corey take the brunt of our dissatisfaction, why not have some who made this decision wade into the fray? Have them explain the reasoning behind their decision. VP marketing maybe?

Stream Saver/Data Management: Yes. You allow me to manage my usage. This isn't a feature. It's common sense.
GamePlus: Is useless because you've already removed GameCentre.
I've been a Rogers customer since 1994, this is the last straw! At least Bell will get me the occasional CTV game
