Roger's no longer including NHL game Center

I talked with a management rep and its true they are no longer including NHL game center in Roger's share everything plans.
Not only as a customer I think it's a dumb idea as I loved having it and I'm sure many canadians loved it as well as were a big NHL country 🙂 but a business standpoint what is Roger's thinking!?!?! This is a major incentive that people choose rogers over other carriers. Also Roger's as the rights to NHL in Canada as a Roger's customer shouldn't we get rewarded with it free or at least discounted, or is Roger's trying to double dip on customers by getting money for our share everything plan and now NHL subscriptions

For the love of GOD please Roger's go back and think about this and re add the NHL back to share everything plans

Crooks. When my wife and I came to Rogers in July 2017 we were told NHL package was for 2-year contracts. We also brought 2 more lines from Bell in 2018 and again package was to be included. Looks like I messed up believing this. We are very upset and will be heading back to another carrier ASAP.

Dont be so sure it wont be included.  Wait until they open up the site.  They have updated the website to show the current season and still show that it is included with ignite in the disclaimers at the bottom.

I am absolutely livid right now. I renewed my contract in July on the basis that I would be receiving NHL Gamecenter for the upcoming season, which was advertised in the promotion, and I just found out Gamecenter is gone .  I've been a customer for 18 years. This is the final contract I will be renewing.

Just got the following message when I tried to check some comments I had received. Is Rogers trying to muzzle discontent? BTW, this was after it asked for (and I correctly entered) my password.

I got the same thing but it is working now. I am going to wait until the NHL season starts. Some are saying we may still get it, at least for one more year.

I just got the text that it is gone and only get 25% discount. I renewed for this reason only as well so no reason to stay with their horrible service in Nova Scotia any longer.

I'm in hali man. I just got the same text. I was a customer for 15 years, mainly in NB. the price has only ever made sense because of the additional services. This is just ridiculous now. I'm using this as leverage to break my contract as I was told I would get this year when I just resigned.

I haven't gotten a text yet, but if I go to the website and sign in it tells me to save 10% and buy now, and it's still over 200 lol, I'll be calling Roger's after work tonight and making a complaint with crtc and higher

Received the text message just now offering 25% off NHL gamecenter. We switched over to a share everything plan for Spotify and NHL. Now both are gone. I don't really see the point of paying over $250 per month for two phones with no added value. My contract is up this fall and I will shopping around for the best monthly plan, since Rogers is now on par or more expensive than others.

I don't get this first I get a text from Rogers that NHL Gamecenter Live is no longer available to Rogers customers with a share everything plan and that I can get a 25% discount to purchase the plan but in the forums under "how to get game center live I read the following:
"How to Access Rogers NHL LIVE™
Rogers customers on a Share Everything™ wireless plan or select 2-year term Rogers Ignite™ bundles get a free 2017-18 Season’s Pass subscription included with their plan.

If you don’t know whether you’re a Rogers customer with an eligible plan, visit Pricing & Packages and select “Sign In” to check your eligibility."

Why is this OLD information still on Rogers going into the 2018-19 season?

If gamecenter is no longer included I am gone from Rogers after 15+ years of loyalty.

Rogers is messing with our national sport? Not a good idea. 5 phones on a personal share plan and 6 phones on a business share plan and they pull this stunt has left me no option no.  Enjoying the out of market games and streaming at the  cottage where there is no Rogers service at all made paying the premium prices palatable. Not anymore I'm sad to say. With the competition stepping up this past year and pulling customers away from Rogers you would think they would try to keep what they had and not start gouging again.

I called Roger's and they wont offer me anything other than signing up early for 10% off which is crazy as anyone on a different network gets the same deal, Roger's should offer more as a customer I'm sersiously considering moving to another company after over my 10 year tenue with them

I was very caught off guard when I received the text saying Game Center was no longer included for share everything plans. I signed a contract last October and got the share everything plan, even though it’s only me on the account specifically for Game Center. I did everything over the phone with Rogers and made sure to ask if Game Center is included in my plan. She responded yes it’s included. But now I’m being told that’s only one season?? Why are Rogers representatives upfront about the fact it could be canceled after one season but a contract is signed for two years? I would have rethought signing this contract if she was upfront about that. It’s all very dishonest, and that needs to be addressed.

I am now one year away from my contract ending, am paying quite a lot of money for the plan, and have 400$ left on my contract so I can’t walk away. This is not showing customers are valued. This is insulting to everyone.

I contacted Rogers and after stating why this was so unjust the manager was helpful but I am still so upset.

Rogers should reconsider this as many many people have been loyal to their company and I know Game Center is one reason people re-sign contracts.

I know in a year I will be going elsewhere. I can get a cheaper plan on contract and afford to buy Game Center myself.

I'm on hold with Rogers as I type this. I too received the text regarding NHL Gamecenter today. As a loyal customer for over 15 years I feel jilted. When i finally get to speak with someone i plan i finding out out how much to cancel my account as I plan on going elsewhere. GCL was the only reason that kept me with Rogers. Why stay when they're now no different than any other provider?

I don't know about Ignite customers, I just know that for Share Everything customers, it's no longer part of the plan.

Pretty disappointing. I signed up the family plan because of all the nice bonuses, which they've now stripped away. When I extended the sales rep even used NHL GCL as an appeal to sticking around. Whatever the case or reasoning, I'll have to move elsewhere. There's cheaper places, the only thing that made Rogers worthwhile was their excelled incentives.
