Change name of Connected Devices

I downloaded the Rogers Wi-Fi app and renamed my devices for easier detection of what each one is.

However, when I log into My Rogers account on 10.0.0.1 I do not see the same device names. I select edit on a device in connected devices but there is no option to change to the same name as the name on the Rogers Wi-Fi app. Some names are slightly similar, some are quite different. Is it possible to have the same device name on both the Rogers Wi-Fi app and and 10.0.0.1 website?

http://10.0.0.1 allows you to access the web management UI on the Gateway.  Years ago, that was the only way to configure the device.  Today, much of the Gateway's configuration can only be done through the Xfinity mobile app.

When you edit device properties with the Xfinity app, those changes will not get propagated down to the Gateway, so what you are seeing is normal/expected.  Deleting devices through the app will not clear entries from the Gateway's Connected Devices list either.

Read my post just below yours: "Rogers Xfinity App is showing device that is not there."

A lot of info is applicable to your case and it will give you understanding of what te expect from Xfinity App.

In the router list your fist screenshot you have a devices with MAC addresses for names. You can click on those and identify them by writing correct names at the bottom in "Notes:". This will not change the name from the MAC address name but at least next time around you don't have to wonder what this address is. To see the notes you need to click on device name every time. The router list is correct with active devices. Those are correct MAC and IP addresses including connection points like WiFi channel or LAN network. The app has a lose interpretation of what goes on in your home network. It captures the data using various points and it saves it on the cloud server in your Rogers account. The app is not always accurate. Router list is always correct.
