Can't change account payment method

A couple of years ago, we tried to change our payment method online as well. We wanted to remove automatic withdrawals from our bank account to take control of our own payments. We discovered the only way we could do that was to visit a Rogers store. They wanted proof of who we were and had to show ID. We got it done and now we are in control of our payments and not Rogers. I strongly advise against anyone setting up an automatic withdrawal from your bank account or from your credit card.

I was just in a store on Friday. I was told to do this online by the associate. Guess there are crossed wires...

Technically you should have the ability to update your payment method from our website! See below -

What type of browser are you using?

 

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies?

I would always renew my Rogers PayGo at the Rogers store each year. The last time I tried earlier this year, they said to do it by phone and claimed they never did it at the store. Makes you wonder how well trained the store employees are now.

 

I can see where Rogers would be leery of switching automatic bank withdrawal, which is guaranteed, to a customer being able to pay if they wished, or not pay.

I called in the change. Did you read the thread and the error thoroughly. I can see that link, but it's on finalizing the information for the CC. Not on selecting the option to change.

I got the link too but whenever I tried to change from "pre-authorized" billing to "invoice", it would not allow me to do so. Then I tried to change it via a phone call. Again, the answer was no. We had no choice but to visit a Rogers store and the change was made without a hitch!

I want to change my payment options from a pre-authorized credit card to Invoice - and even though I can pick this option, once I do, I get a message telling me to contact someone to help me complete the change.  Why?  I am logged into MyRogers account and I did not have to call anyone to change my payment method from invoice to credit card - so I feel like this is a time-waster.

Is the issue still on going?  Depending on when you attempted to make this change, it may not have allowed to do so because our systems under go a nightly maintenance.  Can you please attempt to make the change again, if the second attempt fails, we'll need to access your account.  Please reach out to us @CommunityHelps and we will be sure to asssist you with this matter.

No, it did not work.  But if I wanted to change it to a pre-authorized method, I can do that no problem.
