access to my cell phone # and scam callers

This week I am the target of scam calls. All reported. Many called back to find the owner is unaware there # is being used. Yesterday there were repeats although blocked continues. This started on Wednesday. Can you please check if your system is breached. They are using real numbers. International # but many in the 647 # 705 and of course the US. Why would this start suddenly. ?
Another issue I asked my landline be disconnected months ago. It never works. The odd call comes through but I asked to stop 6 months ago and again Rogers at their best fail. Do I need to go to the Presidents office AGAIN. ? EXPLAIN THIS BREACH OF PRIVACY AND REFUND MONIES OWED.

Welcome to our community forums and thanks for taking the time to detail some of the issues you've been having. 

When it comes to these spam calls, they often do what is known as call "spoofing" where they mask their actual number with a fake number. Regrettably, this is not something that Rogers/Fido has any control over. As to why it began happening more often than normal, I cannot say. For more info on call spoofing and how to help protect yourself from these types of calls, kindly have a look here. 

You also mentioned that you had requested to have your home phone service cancelled, but it hasn't been done. That is very strange!  Although we cannot process the cancellation here in the forums, we'd be happy to have a peek to see what may have happened and we can properly direct you from there.
