Setting up port forwarding on business static IP modem

Hi there,

I have Rogers business static IP internet which is basically an unmanageable modem and was told by Rogers support I cannot setup port forwarding to forward email sent to port 25 to a local IP (virtual machine). Does anybody know of a workaround to this issue?

Re: Setting up port forwarding on business static IP modem

Hi @supadups1,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for your post.

The information you were provided is correct, the modems for static IP are simply standalone modems. The router is disabled, so in this case, in order to implement any port forwarding rules, you'd have to use a third party router.

Hope this helps.
