Actually, I think what you have to do, is set your static IP, and then plug your device into the modem directly.

Ya, I don't think http://192.168.100.1 works with the CGN3 in bridge.  I would assume if it works, I should be able to connect directly to a LAN port on it without having to worry about a NAT.

http://192.168.100.1 works without doing anything fancy with the DPC3825.

I will be able to try the wierd IP adress that starts with a 7 tonight since I finally got 4.3.4.3 this morning.  Looks like this wasn't custom firmware for LYuan 😉

Just stick it in gateway mode before you go to bed tonight - Tomorrow morning, you can check, and I predict everything will be fine and you can switch it back to bridge mode!

So using the IP address that starts with a 7 does take you to the web ui of the router however the password I had changed it to gives me an "access denied".  Using 'password' gives me a "Wrong password".  I guess there is no way of accessing the web ui without resetting the router to gateway mode.

Ok. Emboldened by everyone receiving the newer "fixed" firmware I just traded my rental CGN2 in for a purchased CGN3 (always intended to buy once bridging worked anyways).

In my area (High Park) i'm getting 16x3, channel bonding.

Hardware version is 1A. Software shipped is 4.1.4.5. I assume I'll get an upgrade sooner or later.

Using TomatoUSB on my router (Asus N66u). Set the "route modem IP" to 192.168.100.1.

Accessing http://192.168.100.1 works perfectly and I can see all current modem stats, including channel count, system version, etc.

Now just patiently waiting for 4.2.4.3. 🙂

Do you have it bridged? http://192.168.100.1 works in gateway.
