I agree latecy can be off but Packet loss or dropped packets are a much bigger problem....

Hello ive been streaming on twitch for a while now but im starting to have problems. everytime i stream i lose bitrate and drop frames for no reason. i currently stream at 1080p 60fps and 6000kbps bitrate. this problem has been happening for around 4 months now ever since i switched over to the 300u internet. before i switched i never had problems streaming even when i was on a wireless connection. i tested this on both a wired and wireless connection and i still get the same results stream will drop 20% frames at all times. i use the twitch bandwith tester and i will consistently get good speeds and ping but the quality will always be 0. In my computer i currently have a ryzen 3700x a gtx 1070 16gb 3200mhz ram and an asus pce-ac56. i dont know what else i can do. ive had techs come over to my house multiple times just for it to fix for a couple days and then drop frames again. im starting to lose hope on rogers because this has been happening for so long and no one has been able to solve this issue. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tried RogersHelp and they sent me here without any help. I'm direct connected on my gaming/work PC to the modem. I've been getting tons of intermittent packetloss the past couple of weeks. Skype calls are regularly cutting out, up to 20% packetloss in PUBG some nights is common. Netflix will get caught loading episodes sometimes and need to be refreshed. I get that this could be difficult to follow up on since it is intermittent but I'm paying for the best ignite service you have so hopefully some help here would be appreciated.

Streaming issues are incredibly irritating to say the least and it's no secret you're not the only one which is why this lab exists, so that we can identify what's causing your dropped frames. There's a few things that I'll require as listed in the first post. Provide the information here at your convenience and remember to remove any personal information such as MAC address and IP.

 

Looking forward to getting to the bottom of this for you.

Your receive channels appear well within spec which is great, and the ping test doesn't show any packet loss or latency exceeding 100ms. The traceroute as well at the time of testing appears ok with no high latency. That said though it is likely to be an intermittent concern. I would definitely recommend reaching out to us @CommunityHelps to have a technician sent. Seems two of your 3 transmit channels are out of spec and that would definitely attribute to what you're experiencing. For more information on our private messaging system check out our blog.

Sorry to hear you weren't able to get assistance in resolving your packet loss issue! I know first hand how debilitating it can be to the whole gaming experience. No worries though, you've come to the right place. Given the ping test result you've provided from command prompt shows packet loss I would definitely recommend sending us a PM. I'd like to take a closer look and get to the bottom of this for you.

Hello Again @RogersAndy yesterday my internet was working perfect and i didnt lose any frames on my stream. but today im having problems and also getting zero quality when i do a twitch server test just wondering if any of the results i give you today are any different from the ones i sent over yesterday
