Re: Question About Modem Relocation

It's possible that Comcast could have adjusted the coaxial like to that room to be terminated before the other coaxial splitters to reduce noise. You can plug the modem downstairs and see if it works.

Re: Question About Modem Relocation

Hey, just wanted to know if it’d be possible to put my rogers modem in this closet. Currently it’s connected in the bedroom, and in the way.

Would I just remove the current coax connection and screw the modem directly in?

Thanks 🙂

Re: Question About Modem Relocation

Hello @CoreyB96!

Welcome to our Community!

I would not recommend putting your modem in a closet or any enclosed space. It should be centrally located in your home, in an open air space that allows for it to have proper ventilation.

Putting it in an enclosed space could interfere with the WiFi signal and cause it to overheat.
