Outlook Freezing While Syncing Yahoo Email

I have been running Outlook 2019 and for the last month I am having trouble as it seems to be syncing with my Yahoo email and ends up locking and having to be restarted. How can I remove my rogers email from Yahoo?

That is weird. I manage a boat load of desktop Outlooks and haven’t heard of any lockup’s, but what’s interesting is my own desktop’s Outlook has been locking up for the past couple weeks, at random times, about once a day. When it does, the cursor just spins. If I leave it alone for a minute or so, it unlocks. I have an office 365 account set as default, and also have a gmail account that it imap’s email to/from. I was going to reformat my computer any day now so didn’t really care, but weird that you’re having having the same problem.

Hello. I too suggest formatting your C:\> Drive and doing a fresh install of windows 10 and Microsoft outlook then setting up your email account.

don't worry since u mentioned your using IMAP your messages will NOT disappear.

I can't do a format of the C drive as my computer didn't come with windows on a CD. So, I will just have to put up with the problem until Rogers comes up with a solution. Thanks for you advice though.

A lot of new computers don't even have CD drives any more, but they do come with a recovery partition, if u dont have a recovery partition, you can download the windows cd or image file right from Microsoft, they allow it, its legal, as long as you have a valid license key.

Formatting and re-installing your operating system is something that should be done routinely like once a year or so it definitely helps resolve many computer issues including internet browsing and as well many email issues
