Ongoing Online gaming issues

Hey everyone,

I have been experiencing issues with Roger’s internet while gaming for years at this point. I have tried various consoles, port forwarding, DMZ, and bridging the router, but I still end up in the same situation. I mostly play shooters, and what it comes down to is that most of the time, I shoot an opponent with tons of bullets, and they won’t die, only to turn around and melt me with just three shots.

I’ve spoken to Roger’s support many times, but it hasn’t gotten me anywhere. I’m not sure if there’s anything else I can do at this point or if this issue is related to Roger’s compatibility with online gaming. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As the Community's resident gamer, I feel this. I know what it's like to have this exact thing happen.

Do you have any screenshots of tests you've run that show a latency issue is occurring? Any ping tests or tracerts from the Command Prompt on your computer?

Which game(s) have you noticed this occurring in? Are you using WiFi for your console/PC or are you using Ethernet? Does it happen at anytime of day or night or have you noticed any patterns, such as issues in the evenings during prime time?

Hi,

I play mostly shooter games. This happens at anytime of day. I play on the xbox and the latency is good. When I first moved to my new address the internet was amazing and thought the issue was due to my old residence. Then the trouble started again.

I can try to run some tests on the computer just need some guidance on how to.
