Can anyone tell me where to get firmware update for the Cisco DPC3825 DOCSIS 3.0 Gateway and please don't tell me on cisco site because I know that but couldn't find it on there? I hope someone could because not even the people who work at Cisco couldn't tell me.
Also I just recently upgraded to higher speeds 28mbps, I had a Motorola SB5100 modem I am getting faster speeds now with the Cisco modem but higher ping with Cisco.
Here I'll show you. Motorola SB5100 -------> https://www.speedtest.net/result/2016656516.png
Cisco DPC 3825 --------> http://www.speedtest.net/result/2025734966.png
I'm know expert clearly but I would think with my new upgrade in speeds I should be getting lower ping not higher then my old 10mbps speeds.

Hello Jayzino,
As the modem are managed by Rogers any firmware updates will automatically be pushed to the modem when they become available.
Thanks,

Will rogers sand any firmware updates directly to the modem, or do we have to periodically check to see if firmware updates are available?
Thanks

Hello, @dvlasman
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!
Thank you for posting your query in the Community. As indicated in the Message 2 above, your modem will automatically receive the firmware updates. You are welcome to send us a private message at @CommunityHelps in case your modem is stuck on a previous firmware version. Our private messaging system is explained in this blog.
You can find the current production firmware versions for the Hitron CGN and CODA series in the Feedback firmware trial thread.
Cheers,
RogersMoin

Just replaced my dead Hiltron CGN with the same one and noticed that the firmware is 4.5.8.33 (July 22, 2017). Any idea how I can get the latest installed?

@pfrazao99 reboot the modem. Pull the power plug from the wall socket, wait 10 to 15 seconds and plug it back in to force a restart/reboot. Check the firmware version after the reboot. If that doesn't work, you can call tech support and ask the CSR to put the modem on the update list. Perhaps the CSR can push the updated version to your modem as you're speaking with him or her. There is also a good chance that the firmware would be updated overnight anyways, but, you can always call and chat with tech support to speed up the process.

@cronica just to be sure of the terminology, are you trying to update the firmware on your modem, or, are you running a Rogers modem in Bridge mode with a router behind it, and you want to update the router's firmware?

Greetings and welcome to our Community @cronica!
Are you looking to update the firmware for your own personal router or the gateway modem we provide? If you're looking to update our modem, the good news is that firmware updates are rolled out automatically with no input necessary from the user.
Regards,
RogersCorey
