Maping an external drive on CGN3 Gateway

Tried forward slashes and still get error message

access error: site or page not found

The shared dusk does show on the Administration Settings , USB Stirage tab but I can't map to it from a wireless connected laptop

Hi can you post a screen shot of how you are trying to connect? Also is it working on any other device in your network other than your laptop?

Post screen shot of your modem showing your connected storage and how you are connecting from that laptop.

Got it to work. Did not realize I had to go to FINDER and the Connect to server, then put in URL. I was just putting the url for the shared drive in the main browser line. Everything working fine now.

Ok. So I've had to exchange my modem.

How do I remove the mapped drive letter if I no longer wish to use this method of mapping a drive via the router?

The only option I can see is 'disconnect' but the unused drive letter is still there, listed under 'This PC'

No worries. I simply restarted the Desktop and the drive letters were gone.

Ok. So now I'm having issues with mapping the same external hard drive as before, with the new modem.
The actual 'mapping' part is fine and the drive is visible.
However, two things happen..

1) it states that the drive is only a few hundred mb's.
2) It then randomly switches to the proper size (500gb) but not one single file is visible.

Is anyone able to shed some light in this at all?
I'm wondering if it has something to do with the sharing/permissions settings because nothing is checkmark'd off in the permissions list.
I'm completely lost now.

how long ago did you swap the modem?

It may not have fully updated to the new firmware, which might help.

It was switched yesterday.

Ah, yeah.
It can take up to 72 hours for the latest firmware to be pushed.

I would give it another 2 days.
