YEah, there is no way they should be allowing that low of a signal and be calling it ok..
But if the SOURCE is at a problem.. there is nothing a tech can do from their side..
Trying to get maintenance to look at something sometimes, is like poking a elephant with a blade of grass... doesnt do very much at all..
(took me MONTHS when we were having a street issue. I think they fixed it, due to me alone (let alone my neibours) probably costing them $5000+ in just tech visits alone.)

Just wanted to post a big THANK YOU to all those here in the community that have been assisting me with my 1yr+ internet issue, its been a long road and a few rocky posts but the community have been awsome and gone that extra mile in assiting me and letting me vent on my bad days, while they were wrking in the background trying to help me...The last thing that they were able to do was they reached out to Tech Consier Team on my behalf and after dealling with them they updated me today with what i was expecting, my issue cant be fixed node congestion i live in a rual area they dealt with numerous depts from the office of the presedint to maintence and a few others inbetween and got all the nfo,updates to me in 8 working days....:-)
So once again THANK YOU for all the time,effort spent in assiting me...now my next challenge is to see if i can get my cost of the interet package reduced to reflec what i am accually getting...
Ran some speed test and jitter going from 2ms then 10 ms , which is a more reliable speed test when doing a speed test on Rogers speed check I get better speeds on there then speedtest. Net on telus servers don't know if its all the advertising on the speedtest.net website causing speeds to slow down ?
hi i have ignite 100u internet what avge speed is coming? i get avge 70mbps this is right?
since i get this packge my speed is morthan 100mbps. last two days its slow i dont know why?in scarborough last friday night all service are down after that internet slow anyone know why?
well it been a fun fun week to say the least since i got the official email from OP that they have done all that can be done and the problem that started this year long issue with my internet cant be fixed.. 😞 but you need to continue paying your regular monthly internet bill with out any kind of monthly compensiation...
So basically the bad internet that i have had for the last year which they did compesate me for is no longer available to me now that they have discovered that it cant be fixed?
Well needless to say that didnt sit well with me i was hoping for say a 50% discount on my montly internet bill since they cant fix the problem but i do have internet just not what i am paying for 250/20..which with the new speeds comming out i was hopping that i would upgrade to that but not if i am going to have to pay the full price for something i average only 50% of what i should be getting..
So off to the phones i go to see what possibly can be done if i push the option to cancel my roger servies which i have discovered will put you through to cx loyalty/retian.....after speaking with them for about 1 1/2 hrs a lot of that was them putting me on hold to check my history and to see what they could do for me since normally an issue like this the cx would be put through to the OP but since OP has basically written me off they offered to assist me....in the end i have managed to currently get a good discount on my net for the next 5 months which is the max time that they could offer me at this time, however if at the end of the 5 months if i am still experincing internet problems they suggested i call back and see if something else can be done, since there isn,t a way currently to give me a permeant discount.
now from what i can tell OP is the top so why couldnt they offer me the same thing after dealling with them for allmost 1yr?
So all in all net still not what it should be but at least i am not paying the full price for the next 5mnts 🙂 and who knows maybe down the road they may be able to fix my problem. Just have to wait and see...
