Incorrect Location

I am unable to use rogers internet on one of my on line games. I beleive by default, the modem shows a location in Ontario, where my game isn t approved. I live in NB. I am able to access the game okay if I use data on my phone.

Are you having this issue while connecting to any of your other devices inside your home, or is it just your mobile device? Your modem IP address will be linked to your current location and should not be providing you with another province. Are you using any other routers or switches for wireless connectivity in the home?

If you can let us know some more details regarding the issue and the devices in use, we can investigate this further for you.

It's the same for my mobile phone, tablet and desktop on my home wifi. If I turn my wifi off on my phone, I can connect and access the site okay.. it's a poker site, when I get denied, it says due to location. Ontario doesn't allow people to join the regular site. My province NB has no restrictions . Poker sites have to know your location. Is there a way I can see what my Ip showed?

Thank you for the updated information. You can follow the steps outlined here to find your IP address. The modem IP address provided is dynamic and is automatically assigned; if, for some reason, you are not getting a local IP address, you can first try completing a factory reset of the modem with the steps found here.

I tried again on the site to make sure it still wasn t working before I tried anything and it worked okay. Surprise. Not sure what happened. Thanks for the help
