This is incredibly frustrating. We have the most up to date Ignite modem/router.

This issue happened before we switched as well, just happened way more often.

For some reason, our connections using ipv4 just decide to randomly stop working. Resetting the modem, disconnecting the cables, forgetting wifi networks, trying with ethernet cables.

All fail to connect via ipv4.

The only way to fix it is to disable IPv4 from Windows. Disabling the network devices on a PC, Leaving it for 15 minutes, and reconnecting.

This is great for me... but everyone else in the house using wifi on Roku/Phones/Game consoles still can't reliably connect to the internet.

@runtimemess Are you running your home network purely on Rogers-supplied equipment or do you have any other 3rd-party network gear installed or connected to your network in any way?  e.g. another router that you are using as an access point, a media server, layer-3 network switch, modem/gateway for another Internet connection?

 

(If you are wondering where I was going with this... my first thought was that you likely have devices on your network (in addition to your Ignite Gateway) running active DHCP servers, and that would definitely destabilize your IPv4 connectivity.)
