Re: Hitron CGN3 WIFI issues

I just began with Rogers internet service last week. They gave me this modem/router. It is on the 1st floor centrally located in the house. Plugged into the router I get 90mps. Upstairs on the second floor I get about 5mps on wifi. Such a big difference. The house isn't that big. So any advice on the best solution?

Is there firmware to update (I don't see an option in the settings)?

Get my own decent wifi router and piggy back it to the Hitron??

Get some kind of wifi signal booster to go upstairs???

Re: Hitron CGN3 WIFI issues

What I did and have had no issues with my wifi or internet connections since was turned on the Gateway function on the modem. I went and purchased a Linksys router, plugged that into the Roger Hitron modem and its been great since.
