Hi,

 

While playing anline games, specifially CS GO I get lag and choppiness, My ping is low but when people watch me play they say it seems like im algging, I belive this is due to my jitter being fairly high, is there any way to corect this. MY game play on my end is also not that smooth, I get solid 250 FPS+ and a in game ping of 40ish, but it still seems like im lagging.

I am also a gamer and I play CSGO as well.

 

Getting 300FPS+, and 50-80 ping on average depending on days.

There is nothing you can do other than check the pinned thread , about FIRMWARE beta testing.

 

Basically they are working on fixing the latency issue, the next firmware release should fix UDP ( CSGO uses UDP ) so we should see a huge improvement in terms of ping after they fix it.

 

have a look at the thread but there is a lot of comments ( over 100 pages already)

My ping is all over the place rogers 100u

 

I see this problem mostly weekends could someone give me some ideas as to why i have to deal with this?

Which Modem are you using? I would suggest getting the New CODA modem, it's the tall white modem. It uses a newer chipset that should help with latency and jitter. If you're on the newer Ignite Plans you can swap to it at any Rogers store.

With unlimited internet service of any speed, apparently, yes.  Are you looking for the CODA-4582.  For any modem, you might find a swap modem in short supply due to yesterdays modem brickage.

Your signal levels looks fantastic, also your CMTS is running DOCSIS 3.1

With upstream levels you want it between 30-50. Once it hits 52 the modem will loose upstream channels... which is bad, this is because it's using so much power to keep a connection. The higher the number, the more power is required for the modem to keep a connection to the CMTS.
