We are in the process of rolling everyone back to 7.1.1.35 as some users experienced intermittent drops in speed.

Our vendor is reviewing the logs captured to determine the root cause.

@Triple_Helix with those numbers, as posted, call tech support and ask the Customer Support Rep to run modem signal check.  That check should fail, followed by a conversation to see a field tech booked for a home visit. 

 

With QAM upstream signal levels at or above 52 dBmV, I expect that signal check to fail automatically.  The other question is whether or not the upstream OFDMA signal level also fails the check.  

 

I'd be very interested if Tech Support blows you off and indicates that there's no problem at this point.

Here is what I got from one of the Mods here!

 

According to my tests here, this is an area with a known congestion problem. Until we split the node, there is not much that we can do to resolve the issues that you're experiencing. I am sorry.

We plan to rollout a spin off from our recent 7.1.1.37 build with a patch for the slow speed issue seen in the original release.

Please keep an eye out of the next couple of days for this.

Everything seems nominal except the log in to the modem is still slow to access.

I've been using the patched version of 37 for a while now.
There have been no repeats of the 10/10 bandwidth issue.
However, the GUI access is still not reliable and results in not being able to reach the login screen. A reboot is required to clear this, but after a while it gets hosed again.

@zardoz99  Appreciate the feedback on the speed issue. 

We do have the login issue on the board to be resolved in an upcoming patch, but don't have a date as of yet .

Sorry I know its a pain point.

Hello Everyone, 

Still hoping to get more feedback on the new revision of 7.1.1.37 particularly in regards to 5Ghz wireless and the unii-1 band i.e. using channels 36-48.

We made some improvements to the power tables to resolve connectivity/throughput issues so I am very curious to know your experience.

@RogersIan  so far so good using channels 36-48 and my 2 wireless phones and one Laptop about 10 to 20 meters away as I run mine in Gateway mode! 😉
