Re: FEEDBACK - Rogers Rocket Wi-Fi Modem Firmware Trial

I see the same. Perhaps some of these fields are not visible in bridge mode?

I also just ran a download test where I downloaded a 500 Mbyte file and the WAN counter increased accordingly. The LAN counter however didn't really move so I'm not sure what this represents and I'll ask questions.

Will the .28 firmware be released anytime time soon if so will it work as good as the newer modem for gaming or would the newer modem be be still better ? Just don't want to waste time on swapping modems if in the end it's going to be all the same once .28 gets released thanks.

I don't have a date yet for the next firmware iteration. I know it should come soon but because of the holidays, it is possible that I won't receive it until January.

As for comparing the Hitron CGN series with the Hitron CODA series, I think you will be better off with the new modem, especially if you are on a plan of 100u or higher.

Thanks dave. You're one of the few people I'm always happy with at rogers!

Getting really bad speeds on wifi 50/30.  I haven't seen the full 50 upload wired either.  This is on the CODA-4582 on the gigabit plan

I will run a few tests remotely on your modem (it may reboot your modem). Your signal looks fine but 50 Mbps is really low.

Re: FEEDBACK - Rogers Rocket Wi-Fi Modem Firmware Trial

@RogersDave  I am on my second CODA-4582.   My wired speeds are low as well, like I am on the 500u profile.

Re: FEEDBACK - Rogers Rocket Wi-Fi Modem Firmware Trial

@mhs2, I assume you are doing these tests hard wired to your modem? What is the device you have connected on port 3 of your modem? Can you disconnect it and perform your test again (assuming your computer/laptop is on port 4).

@dmbcanda, slightly different for you... What is the device you have connected on port 4 of your modem? Can you disconnect it and perform your test again (assuming your computer/laptop is on port 1).

I know there are some improvements coming in version 2.0.10.14. The only thing I don't know is if it will come before Christmas or early January.

Hi Dave: Just to clarify, is 2.0.10.14 going to re-introduce IPv6 support as well? I assume there will be a general changelog on this thread as there often is with previous modems? Smiley Happy
