Does the Ignite router XB6 only have 2 ethernet ports?

I currently have the Hitron modem and have 4 devices directly connected to the modem. I need to upgrade to Ignite TV to keep a discount, but I don't want to lose my direct ethernet connections. Are there any options?

You may get an XB7, they have some, they have 4.

4? Still not enough for.my house. I have 24 port gigabyte switch with 18 used. Nas, server, cat5 to most rooms, etc

If you have a switch, then why complain about the number of Ethernet ports on the modem?

Thanks for the input, I checked with Rogers and they can't guarantee an xb7 and they won't exchange if I get an xb6. I could go for a switch, but I am worried that it will be blamed for any problems. My wifi is already intermittent . Does anyone have any opinion on the wifi with ignite over the old modem?

@CSH if you connect a switch to the modem with the modem running in its default Gateway mode and run into problems at some point, simply disconnect the switch and see if the problem still exists without the switch.  If so, "Hello Rogers, over to you .....".  If not, then the issue is caused by something within your home network.

A switch is just a dumb device more or less, as long as it is an unmanaged switch. The only way it would cause you problems if it stopped work alltogether. And that is highly unlikely.

Just get a switch, multiple lan rj45 on a modem/router is just a switch built in.
