Re: CODA-4582 Modem & DOCSIS 3.1 in North York area

Yea that's the issue I'm having but only at night since December I finally got a call from the Pres of rogers and there is a fix on the way for my building from what I know the fix is by splitting the node and replacing fibre optic cables in some of our units in our building hopefully that fixes it ..

@lethalsniper Great to hear that this is coming your way. I'm expecting this to happen in my area as well and I hope it comes as soon as possible as well.

Re: CODA-4582 Modem & DOCSIS 3.1 in North York area

That is great news @RyzenFX!! I will switch to the Coda modem tomorrow and let you know the results. Its worth mentioning that I've been playing Battlefield 1 for a couple of weeks and noticed the ping has dropped to 15-30ms using the CGNM-3552 modem... Is it because most of the people in my neighborhood have switched to the newer modem and using DOCSIS 3.1?

I just switched to the coda week ago coming from the cgnm modem and I do find my ping are higher now then before might be due to being on 3.1

@lethalsniper

It should be the opposite , your ping should have lowered a bit with D3.1

Re: CODA-4582 Modem & DOCSIS 3.1 in North York area

Hi @RyzenFX@gp-se@Datalink

Switched to the Coda modem yesterday and I am a bit disappointed. My ping times have gone up in Battlefield 1, its around 70-90ms now. Can barely play at times... Before on the CGNM-3552, ping times were around 15-35ms.

Did a factory reset, confirmed the purple download light is up, upload is green. Here are my modem stats, does this look good? It has one black dot, that should be fine? Should I try to swap it out for two black dots?

Re: CODA-4582 Modem & DOCSIS 3.1 in North York area

That's what I was saying soon as I switched to the coda my ping went up at least 10ms- 20ms when playing nhl 17 on the Xbox one probably due to the udp. Hopefully I can still get the cgnm 3552

Will they even allow you to change back to the CGNM-3552?
